Hello! If there are long periods of rain, for example 4-5 days, and the pasture is soaked, how do we keep the chickens from getting wet and sick while in the chicken tracktor? If we don't have a dry shed built nearby, is there a solution related to the construction of the chicken tracktor?

I'm sure it does, all tree care equipment does. But; it's an endangered species and should be protected by us tree care personnel. We have to hold ourselves to a higher standard or we've lost or moral obligation to do what we can for trees and plant life buddy.

I am a Cow NaNa who needs to up grade my wooden chicken tractors:) I raise 150 birds yearly and am so happy to finally find a design that is light enough for an old hag to move:) Can you please show us in a little more detail making the angles on the EMT, such as the measurements of the sides where your making the angle and what you used to make them. Loved your video and I appreciate a young person working hard and sharing what you have learned. Keep up the great job and I LOVE the interview asking your girls if they love you:)))Thank you so much!

What/how are the angles done? To be a little clearer, I'm asking if you can share how you marked off your pipe and what are the angles in degrees . Thank you for your share, and also for taking time with my question . . . I thought I could figure it out, but at today's cost of emt I just couldn't afford to experiment until I got it . . . So Thanks again

Another vote for HORRIBLE idea to put your arm under logs. If you know that simple 'O' rings are all that keep the hydraulic pressure holding that log up.... terrible idea.

Man look at that snow. We do not get a lot of snow here where we are in Chile. Just a lot of rain. Love the transit set up to level. Is the Mill sitting on concrete? Seems like that would e a good answer. We have been doing this all by had with our neighbors mill. It takes a whole day to get his home made mill set up. Thanks for this video. Jim in Chile

Hello from Chile. My son Thomas and I are looking at the LT40 here in Chile. What do you think ? We hope to be milling exotic hardwoods here in Chile WAAAAAAAAAAyyyyyy south of us here in Patagonia. We would have to have the saw mill brought in by ship or helicopter. It would be cool if you both could come down and give us a hand. We have been here for 10 years from Chile. On the other side of the globe from VERMONT for sure. My son Thomas is the last of the 6 home with us and he is excited seeing you all do this work. Jim

@@RoccaDiCambioFarm Great to hear it works for you ! Also.........when starting a new bale and the plastic if not attached to anything...."".before ""putting the bale on the machine have him tuck the plastic under one of the belts on the wrapper. It saves time. This way when its 20 below zero.... the plastic is not still attached to the net wrap. Maybe you remove everything at one time........but I use twine. Its so annoying to have the plastic removed...but not quite. .just that one tied on tip is still there. Another trip off of the loader tractor. !!!!! Your operation is almost exactly like mine. I try to leave a space between the bottom bales so the dog can get between the bales. This way coons .....rabbits wont bother the bales quite as much. The dog makes his daily trips hunting for mice rabbits.........whatever ! Your Grappler is nearly the same as mine. Love that thing ! I use round bale feeders to feed the cows. I fixed a " Y " shape inside my bale feeders using light duty chains. Bolted in the center. The chain hangs down in the center of the bale feeder about two feet. I use my grapplers to move the bale feeders by straddling one of the chains and lifting them with the grapplers. However before you do that.... consider welding a bur on the top side of each side of the grappler. Otherwise the chain slips off. Then always keep the grappler tipped slightly downward. Or the chain will slide back. It can become a problem getting the bale feeder / chain off of your loader / frame !
