To get fully balanced, you should place your head next to the lens and not next to the v-mount battery, but then a major problem comes into place: you can't fully extend the monitor to not jump into your face and, at the same time, avoid being in front of the lens.

No offense to any of you guys - you did awesome - but the squad commander looks large, heavy, solid, built, and powerful enough to take a few shots and still kick everyone else's asses.

Looks like a nice rig, and in fairness if it works the way you want it to work then happy days, but as an industry standard practice, your follow focus should be on the inside of your body. You'll compromise less stability this way. Having it on the outside arm like this is a general no-go. Again, if it works for you, good stuff but if you intend on stepping into any bigger production work, it's best to avoid developing this as a habit from the start.

id like a damn list of all pieces i need since it's just a bunch of random pieces on amazon sold separately - i want the two handle part and the shoulder pad and a mount for monitor as well as follow focus - i'm not sure what pieces in between i'll all need AHHHHH

I would recomend another top handle. The one you have is a cold shoe version and I have the same. It gets loose all the time so please find a nato handle instead. They are much better.

I wonder how to set up the camera when the battery almost closes the touch screen? It seems to me that this is not very convenient. In that case, I would put an external monitor, but with the ability to touch-control the camera (there are already such ones).

I have been doing some research about this Anamorphot 2x -50 I would love to know why the background in this doesn't seem to stretched as much as like other 2x anamorphic lenses or adapters? To me it seems more like an 1.33x. Is that because you had to go at least F3.5 and up. Will it be more 2x stretched if you put on their 1.8x diopter for close up? Thanks.
