I am intrigued by this music, it really fleets along. It sounds to be music of a city environment. The rhythm and beat are wonderful, the guitar sound very mysterious. The music seems to count time within itself, so time seems to pass faster in the fast parts, and more slowly in the slow parts! Time overall seems to pass in an instant, as if it has been speeded up, rather than the piece being 3:45 minutes long! It is very beautifully played, and repays close attention and listening. Thank you!

Gorgeous, fabulous to hear!! It's always great to hear two players in complete sympathy and sync at speed. The contrasting tone of the two instruments works really well. Great setting, love the old stone house! Lovely, thank you Alberto and Marcello!

Love the playing - remarkable sound from the relatively narrow body of the instrument. (In the video would rather see more playing and less flowers!)😊

In the light of world events at the moment, the peace and tranquility of this lovely Sarabande and Chiesa are very welcome. Art such as this calms and purifies the heart, soul and spirit. Thanks for it Alberto, it is much needed.

What a truly gorgeous Sarabande this is!!! Weiss' Sarabandes played by you are heaven on earth!!! The more I listen to this Sarabande, the more gorgeous it sounds and the more I want to listen to it!! The tone of your Baroque lute here is celestial, dreaming, fantastic! You are one of the great players of Sarabandes Alberto, and I hope you record more of them. I'm so glad you have recorded this one. I wonder how Bach heard it when he decided to transcribe this Sonata? He must have loved it.... BRAVO!!!!!! More Weiss Sarabandes!!!!!

This is exquisite in all ways Alberto, touching and moving. You play a gentle tribute to this beautiful little Chiesa di Santa Maria degli Angeli. The melody, sound and tone are delicate and radiant, absolutely wonderful. Your sense of wonder is alive to the beauty of these frescoes, painted in the 15th century, and recently conserved and restored. Thank you for showing so many closeups of them. The drawn portraits are stunning, it is a gorgeous altarpiece! I wonder what the scratched inscription from 1559 means? I haven't heard a solo Baroque lute performance of this exquisite Sarabande before. It is no wonder J.S.Bach transcribed Sonata 47, into the "Trio for Violin and Harpsichord" in A Major BWV1025. I hope you will play other movements from Weiss' Sonata 47. Your video and performance are so peaceful and beautiful, they are good for the heart and soul. Thank you and BRAVO!!!!!!

I absolutely love this, the colors, the harmonies, the gorgeous dramatic bass, the bright treble lines, the sheer originality and newness of this composition. I hear the sound waves as a sea of sound, and feel the waves of sound wash over me, a flood of sound. It is brilliant, brilliantly played, the lute tone ravishing. BRAVO!! to Stefan and Alberto.....BRAVO!!!!!!!

What a fascinating composition this is. The subtle colors of the music and of the frescoes and masonry of the church are gorgeous, a huge watercolor of light. The music floats, drifts and dreams, it is as if the sun rises in this place, chasing away the shadows of the night, giving it new life. The continuous rhythm of the rising, falling and interweaving arpeggios is beautiful. I am a fan of Stefan Olof Lundgren's work, the pieces you play on your new CD "Am I Dreaming?" Contemporary Music for Baroque Lute are just STUNNING!! I have been listening to the CD on Spotify, and the whole CD is stunning! It is clear that you love Stefan's music and love playing it, it has become part of yourself. I am very happy to hear you play it, and to see this lovely old church restored and given new life! BRAVO!!!!!! and thank you!!

This canopy mark: 'tis the work of a fay; Beneath its rich shade did King Oberon languish, When lovely Titania was far, far away, And cruelly left him to sorrow, and anguish There, oft would he bring from his soft-sighing lute Wild strains to which, spell-bound, the nightingales listened; The wondering spirits of heaven were mute, And tears 'mong the dewdrops of morning oft glistened. In this little dome, all those melodies strange, Soft, plaintive, and melting, for ever will sigh; Nor e'er will the notes from their tenderness change; Nor e'er will the music of Oberon die. John Keats

This Bourree was written in the 18th century, your Baroque lute was designed in the 18th century and built in the 20th century, the Grain Mill was built in the first half of the 19th century, and you are 21st century!! What a combination!! The single most striking thing in the iconic image of you playing inside the Mill is the sophistication of the design of your Baroque lute. It just shines as a 'fit for purpose' invention of human ingenuity. The implements and structures around you have dated, are 'old technology', no longer used. Your lute can produce a vast range of works, depending on the knowledge, skill and artistry of the player, historical works, contemporary works, to a level of perfection only limited by who is playing. It is timeless, and it absolutely looks and sounds it. This says something very special about musical instruments. Thanks for this great, unforgettable image that brings this point home for me very powerfully. And thanks for the beautiful Bourree!!!

The sound of this Bourree suggests to me the cycle of activity that would have existed here when the Grain Mill of Turro was operatonal. The rhythms of the music recreate the life of the Mill, suggesting a happy, bustling atmosphere of cooperative work. I'm enjoying your recent focus on the works of Weiss, and see that you have updated your "Weiss" Series playlist, and others, today!!! I look forward to your new recordings, and wonder what they are!

Heavens Alberto, this is exquisite and immaculate!! I am in awe of your interpretation and performance of this great Sarabande and Menuet. You are in your element here, your musical gifts are on full display in these inventive late works of Weiss. The sound is sublime and celestial, the sweet delicacy of your interpretation magical. It is an unforgettable performance of great sensitivity, detail and beauty. Your articulation, phrasing and dynamics are wonderful, the color and expressiveness of the 16th century frescoes reflected perfectly in the music. You play with passion and intensity to give a sensational performance Alberto, BRAVO!!!!!! And thank you for the gorgeous Chiesa di Santa Maria!!!

I love your use of ornamentation in this performance. It is detailed, rich and vibrant in the Sarabande, emphasizing the beauty of the melody, and complementary to the decoration of the Basilica. The overall effect of both the Sarabande and the Bourree is regal, with a great sense of occasion, telling their story so well. I love the way the sound becomes part of the Basilica, as if this music had been playing here for hundreds of years. The Basilica and the music become one as I listen. It is a gorgeous performance Alberto, from the heart, with a strong feeling of spontaneity, another jewel in the crown of your Weiss recordings. BRAVO!!! I would love to be able to visit this Basilica! I'm sure this music would be playing as I walked in the door!! Oh well!!

The sound of your Baroque lute in this Basilica is remarkable! You play this magnificent music to the glory of God in this magnificent, ancient place. Your interpretation is majestic and uplifting, full of wonder. The sound and tone of the beautiful Sarabande is glorious, while the rustic Bourree is wonderfully human. I can hear and feel feet beat the ground as peasants dance joyfully, celebrating the life of Christ. It is gorgeous to hear. Thank you for all the beautiful fresco details! The portraits have a pious Romanesque austerity in their expression and style, which I recognize from earlier videos you have made in the churches of Lombardy. The scale of this Basilica relative to yourself is amazing to see! To play in such a place must be an extraordinary experience. The sound of your lute fills the space entirely, I haven't heard it sound quite like this before. It's all fabulous Alberto, thank you, and congratulations on your magnificent performance! Bravo!!!!!! I look forward to Part 2! :)

What a heavenly sound this is, up there with the angels. Every time I listen to you play this Sarabande I am struck by the transcendent sound you produce. I love that your radiant performances in the beautiful churches of Northern Italy are uploaded for everyone to share. How fortunate we are to have them!
