One of my favorite episodes of The Pretender were the Miss Parker's and Thomas Episodes

It's wild how much Thomas looks like Jarod.

Nice job with the cutting...missing the beautiful last scene - (with the song they edited out of the DVD apparently, too bad.)

@@bapyongukgukguk2352 She was attracted to him. Love means respect. I didn’t see that. In the end the only person she truly loved and blindly trusted was her father. Not even Tomas. But to each their own)
@bapyongukgukguk2352 Жыл бұрын
@@NP-cd8vg Miss Parker respects nobody except her daddy. Plus she was part the "center" and her mission was to catch Jarod (which she was couldn't avoid). At last if she didn't love him why she never tried and shoot him nor hurt even she could (she is known to be very good with guns). Miss Parker is a twisted character trapped in a deadly situation so is her love for Jarod.

It's crazy how in an episode about Parker's love for Thomas they still manage to work in so many intimate emotional moments between her and Jarod. They really were the heart and soul of the show ❤

i think Jarod is a self righteous ass hole. he bothers parker cause he's emotionally tied to her and He actually can't get over it. he could leave without returning. he doesn't need her to get his stupid answers about his family. I think he could've been a little bit more caring here then he was. he sometimes is an insensitive genius...who forgets about the feelings of those who are actually closest to him. everyone always gives Parker crap for not "opening" her eyes about Jarod. I think, she should be given more credit in regards to Jarod. I think she understood he wasn't capable of being completely trusted...he put her through a lot of hell because she was the daughter of the guy who owned the place but the reality was, she was trapped just as much as him. and acted the way she did to cope with it and keep all the wierdo, psychos from bothering her. Meanwhile, he got to be freewillie on the outside and play Captain Hero every episode.

I've watched all the episodes. the show failed, because the writers couldn't round out their story and began overlapping With Ridiculous mystic concepts "prophecies"..Lol! the show was supposed to be scientific....and in the end started trying to create some kind of semblance of closure that reflects a lot more of "all [my] typing". the show ended up being a monstrous disappointment. like mulder and scully Continually playing 'chase aliens cause of unending emotional feelings of failure...and the forever skeptic'...characters never grow....the show kept repeating Parker's evil bent 'but is she good?...She Could Be...But she's not'...and Jarod grappling with the same problem...They didn't round out the characters...kept refusing to allow them to grow....the story died with it's characters stuck in a two dimensional state.

He was being a jerk, because he loved parker and he was happy for her when she stopped caring the center around on her back and went out and developed a life. He was being mean to bait her into asking questions because he knew THE CENTER does not let you LEAVE employee or subject pretender the only retirement plan they offer is a coffin, he told her over and over again to GET OUT because the CENTER was not safe for anyone who worked or lived or was a project of it. So he knew the center had her man killed to bring her back into the fold, she was to valuable a player to let go she was one they would do everything the could to keep and not kill just like Jared, and Jared knew that. More than half of the show was Jared trying to get Parker to stop hero worshipping her father and see him for what he was! A man that had allowed his wife to be killed to keep power and position in the center, then brought his daughter into that organization because he didn't want her to be killed or used against him. Parker had drunk deep of the center Kool Aid and Jared was always showing up to and say SLAP " SNAP OUT OF IT PARKER YOU KNOW BETTER than this your not a pretender but you are better than that!
