You can not bridge in the opposite direction to which your head is turned. The main purpose of that head and underhook control is to drive the person's head away with his shoulder and put a lot of pressure on the person's head and neck. These defences are based on the top guy not using the position properly. Come on.

Well , I don't agree with your point of view, this technique is one of the most important techniques to escape from side control, that's exactly why is maybe the very first technique that we learn as white belt to escape from side control and replace the guard!

@@leonardorodarte3370 Sure, I was taught that years ago too, but for when the person puts the elbow on the other side of the head. Thus you can turn your head towards the top man. Please demonstrate for us how you can bridge right with your head cranked left? You might be able to bridge up but not in the other direction, unless the head movement is allowed by the top guy or you have removed the pressure somehow. Thats why people use that "ghost' escape for this position, because you don't have to be able to turn the head. It works with the neck cranking pressure and not against it.

Don’t bring you’re hand down when your blocking the kick, because if they fake the body they can kick you right in the head, blocking is one the first things they teach you in Muay Thai and that’s something that you should relearn
