Didn't work for me either. Cannot seem to rid blender of a failed gear. Every time I open a new file there it is again. Plus it WON"T go away and stay away.

What do we do if it doesn't let us install it as a ZIP?

Sorry, just now seeing this. If the addon is a single .py file like this billys-addon. py then it must be installed directly without being zipped. if the addon contains a file called __init__.py then it must be installed from a zipped folder.

@@BlenderSensei All good. But I've tried installing it both ways, and it still doesn't work. Whenever I try to install the ZIP file, it gives me a message saying 'Source File is in the add-on search path: "Report: Error. C:\\Users\\User\\Desktop\\(NAME REDACTED FOR PRIVATCY REASONS)\\Apps\\Blender 3.6\\Scripts\\Addons", and downloading just the .py makes it say the modules are installed, but they don't actually show up in my addons menu or anything. Suggestions?

Perhaps I missed it, but...a personal project of mine is to build out my own model of a certain type of semi-trailer dryvan, including all its parts, because...I'm a glutton for punishment. I set the world scale or the project scale in Imperial > Inches, because many of the parts are shown in spec sheets in inches, but I'm interested in whether certain groups of measures can be displayed with multiple measures. That is...if I want to keep the world scale in inches, but I want the overall trailer dimension of, say 53 feet to be shown, but then zooming into a section of the brake assembly, have the bolts shown in, say, millimeters...is there a way of just having like a block of measures, two or three maybe, so I know or can display them that way? Or maybe it would be cool to have a "primary" measure - whatever the part itself is engineered in, relative to spec sheets you can find on the web...but then secondary measures in some subdued font size/color/alpha something or other. I'm just trying to think of this before I start my the project outright and go about it in a smart, efficient way. Obviously, I could add annotations or labels or whatever, willy-nilly, but this addon is really what I'd like to rely on. Anyhoo...thanks for the video!

I'm stucked on a basic problem. If a segment measures the distance between two vertices and if I suppress one or more vertices between the rank of the vertices, measureit shifts the measures between others points. In other words, how to suppress vertices and tell measureit to reindex ?

I use 3.5 blender and I don't have the "new object" add-on. my file is already a zip file and it still won't import

Sensei Format was an addon I created a long time ago before Blender was as user friendly as it is today. This video is quite old and in need of updating. A new version of Sensei Format in the works though.

wonder is there a sweep to rail addon for blender ? you can use a curve profile and sweep it to a rail like a ring shank for example... this function is not possible in blender

I install the addon from a zip over and over. I keep getting the notification in the bottom right "Modules Installed". But it doesn't show up in the list. I restarted blender a few times.

What I really want is to be able to fly around freely without lifting my finger off the scroll button to press shift to pan. Orbit and pan should no require stopping each time, they should work together so you can fly around your project seamlessly like in Sketchup.

Is there a way to apply a hotkey to more than just 2 functions ? I want to turn on the Tweak Tool and have Vertex, Edges, and Faces all ON at the same time instead of having to do it manually every time.
