Filter cheap. Map sensor expensive. Good for emergency solution. Later buy new one filter before sensor clogged.

@@DIYwithDeon will do, another topic which could help lots of people out are cleco pins, though I'm not sure if there's search terms which would get you lots of views. I think this video gets a lot of views because people are specifically searching for ways to use rivnuts without the pricey tool. Gluing custom tarpaulin and attaching grommets is a useful DIY trick too which is pretty easy to DIY.

Great vdieo. The one piece of information that no one e;se had inculded in this procdure, is the little connector in the switch, allowing you to replace only the switch if the wiring is not defective....Would be great to see where the wiring connects at the other end if both switches and wiring fail. Like your thorough simple explanations.

HELP. Can someone tell me why my rivnut won't grab and set(expand) in the hole? I drilled a 3/8 hole, trying to put M6 rivnut but it won't set. Do I need more pressure?

The 3/8 sounds too big for that size rivnut. Try a smaller hole..

@@DIYwithDeon ok. I'm installing a spoiler on my car and the directions said that size but I'll try your suggestion
@triptonmiller853223 күн бұрын
This is not a reliable method. It will increase the chances of stripping out the bolt leave behind a useless rivnut.
@lucboisseau558623 күн бұрын
Yes, the hole you have seems obviously too big, I am hammering my M6's in 5/16 holes. Also, use the first method he showed, there is a huge difference in between the two. The first method is compressing the nut without making the bolt to spin in it, bit harder to do but safer. Avoid impact wrenches as they can strip the rivnut threads quite easely.

Yes, you can clean it with air sensor cleaner. But you might need to look further for the cause of the problem.

Why do you need two washers? Seems like one would work just the same on the first setup

Its just for less friction on the rivnut while turning the nut. It helps for the rivnut not to spin in the hole. 👌🏻

Any advice on how to put 2 tee nuts opposite each other in the same hole?
@DIYwithDeon2 ай бұрын
Maybe clamp them in with a vise?
@jonyto52 ай бұрын
@@DIYwithDeon It seems that my hole is not perfectly parallel to the surface of the wood or something... when i try with a vice i cannot get the bolt to go through both of the nuts, it goes through the first and then pushes the other out of the wood as it cannot enter it straight.
@jonyto52 ай бұрын
Anyway my idea is that if there are 2 nuts on both sides it makes the bolt that goes through them to have less slack
@DIYwithDeon2 ай бұрын
Putting 2 of them opposite of each other does not really help. Because while the one is pulling, the other one is pushing. so only put one on the opposite side side of the wood from where you put the bolt in.

Hi Deon, what symptoms do you pick on the 1KD when the filter is cracked or clogged? What problem does bypassing it alleviate?
@DIYwithDeon2 ай бұрын
It loses power because it does not read the intake pressure. When you bypass the broken filter, the MAP sensor can read the pressure again. 👍
