This is the kind of modernism I can relate to, with its clear themes and structure. I especially enjoyed the enthralling section between bars 23 and 39. A fascinating piece!

Wished I had had this as a recorded soundtrack to listen to that afternoon as I walked into the rural Illinois farmland to experience the entire solar eclipse!!! BRAVO Carson!!! Your talented performances, as well as your compositions, always amaze me! Truly the pipe organ is King of all instruments! Many thanks for sharing with us!!! 🌞🎶

I find this technique of what J. Peter Burkholder calls cumulative form very engaging. At first, just salient motifs set out the bones that will be connected to form the skeleton, then the connective tissues are added, then the flesh, and lo and behold, we suddenly recognize “Blessed Assurance”!!! Ives used this strategy in many of his finest pieces (like “4th of July” from <Holidays Symphony>), and you’ve done a fantastic job using it here! Bravo!

Another really appealing piece! It’s fascinating the way individual motifs spin out and develop longer lines that, despite often unconventional harmonies, are nevertheless cohesive and expressive. The combination of these lines in contrapuntal textures results in novel but coherent structures-and the pieces are technically accessible! Thx!

Great to hear this simple, pentatonic tune in such an imaginative harmonic setting. The ornamentations of the tune are equally creative. Thanks to both of you for this very effective piece. (Also perfect length for service music-just as Goldilocks would have it!)

You're a recent discovery for me Mr Cooman and I'll be after you for some choral music shortly - however I love this piece - what's the story behind it? Also I agree with @organguyphil - it would make a fantastic hymn tune
