One of my absolute favorite movies, ever. People don’t know shit. The Thing was also panned at the time of its release and is now revered by Horror Fans. This movie got the same treatment for the most part. Its not as popular as The Thing, but I feel like horror fans are able to look back on this movie more positively. Tommy Lee Wallace should be proud. Fantastic albeit batshit crazy plot, eerie atmosphere, great practical effects, phenomenal score and Tom fuckin Atkins.

If they have a flare gun and flares, couldn't they have set the fields on fire and probably signal help

I'll always have a soft spot for this movie -- I remember reading the Fangoria articles decades ago, before it even came out, and it was the first Halloween film I ever saw in a theater -- but acting like H6 was 'Hereditary' before the world was ready for that is pure horseplay.

I’m 44 and Halloween and Halloween 2 have been my favorite movies since I was a child. 5 was dog shit but I’ll take it over 6 or resurrection. H20 was surprisingly good at the time too. Rob Zombie’s Halloweens are as unwatchable as all of his other movies

The music of this its biggest detractor - its like it was left to a hack who just got his first moog, echoplex, & drum kit that weekend and tried to crank it out in between studying for finals. Can we talk about that house's bar? It rivals the bar at some smaller hotels. Maybe Mrs. Mandrakis has a drinking & too much free time problem while the doc is at the hospital.

Outside of the original, Season of the Witch is the best movie in the Halloween franchise.

Part One is the best, its a masterpiece in pure early 80's goodness. Robins was fantastic.
