Hello Lindsey, I have been watching your content a lot and it's helped me as a new tech. I have encounter a low census in my clinic. Unfortunately several patients in our clinic have passed away and or were upset by our clinics hours/ low staff so they left to home dialysis or other clinic. Do you have any advice for low census and hours being cut? I'm in nursing school full time and don't want to get a second job just yet or pick up shifts incase our clinic gets busy again. ❤ I appreciate your content and advice.

I needed to hear this, because some coworkers AND patients make you feel so bad! Especially the patients! The patients expect new workers to be just as efficient, fast and agile as the techs that have been doing it for years and decades!!

Can we put in the venous line too and let the pump prime it instead of cranking it manually and keep having to silence the alarm?
@dialysisnurselindsey11 күн бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean. But if it follows your facility policy and is safe and primes the line, why not try it! I'd love to hear more about it

Passed the two sets of interview for the dialysis nurse position. Just need to endorse my NM license to MD and I’m good to go. This will potentially be my very first job in the US that’s why I’ve recently subscribed to your channel and have been watching a lot of your dialysis videos. Thank you for posting.

I worked on an ITU and we didn’t do dialysis but we did CVVH. A lot of the time I was the only person on who could set up the ‘filter’ as we called it. It was a nice job though, got you away from the fuss for a while because people wouldn’t disturb you. When I first started we had the old machines that had six bags hanging underneath. It was quite a workout setting those up lol. Keep up the good work. ❤😊
