There are wheelset to buy for those, that will clear your guitar better when it gets higher...
@mattwright4666 ай бұрын
Bought one of these and it’s totally worth it. Wheels fix any ground clearance issues if you use strap locks :-)

Thanks for showing these, I'm in the market for a multi-guitar stand/guitar and wanted to hear and see about these, they were highly recommended but Oh that price!

Thanks for sharing your project! It would be nice to see some REW before and after data. It would also be nice to hear the cost numbers! It’s easy to absorb mid and hi frequency! Bass is MUCH harder! Without this kind of information your efforts are kinda lost on me. Sorry.

I have had this stand in my studio for a decade and it still works great, though it has yellowed a bit over the years, but it still looks good. I had a similar issue with the low clearance on the bottom with my Jazzmaster and jazz bass (really anything offset), but the casters add the clearance necessary to overcome it. They also lock. I highly recommend it. Also, on the acoustic stand, you have enough room to double up with most Fender-style guitars if you take the whammy bar off the guitar you've put on the left. I've had 10 guitars on that stand many times and have never had a problem.

The skills of the guy on the fretless guitar are awesome and no offence to him but this fretless guitar/bass are definitely not my thing. TBH the in-between notes make me go agrrr.

I appreciate the honesty. I was just wondering, how secure do the guitars feel? I mean, like others have mentioned, the guitars look like they're quite vertical (at least compared to the cheap ones that you had before). Do they feel like they will fall out easily? Do the guitars feel secure even when accidentally knocked? Thanks
@timothylawrence7072 жыл бұрын
That "lip" you're referring to at the 5:43 mark stiffens the flexible separator. If it wasn't there it most likely wouldn't be able to stand up on its own.

Great video! They're half the price here in Europe at 125, crazy how the price gets jacked up like that due to exporting it to the US. I'm more used to see products being sold for less in the US haha

Hi Alek - I'm a little late but great video. What I found interesting was that one company shipped the box directly without an outer box the other company you purchased from did ship it inside a box. Would you be able to state which company shipped just the box? I believe that is how sweet water ships it and I would like to stay away from the potential damage that FedEx or another delivery company could cause. Any insights would be appreciated!
@AlekDarson2 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike! Thanks so much! These were all from like 3 different sellers actually, and the only one who double-boxed it is Connolly Music. I do think that the original box is probably ok as long as you're not bundling them together. Seems to become too heavy that way

Excellent video. Somehow the algorithm knew I was looking for one of these, and there you were. Bit creepy, eh? If I go ahead and order one would you happen to have an affiliate link?

Hey man, nice job on this video! I have had a bunch of similar ideas floating around in my own mind for years to do things like this for the keyboard world, but I have not yet gotten around to it. So thank you so much for the inspiration here! Now we just need to figure out how to make a stand like that for keyboards. Oh wait, there are some! Maybe I should start my video series on that. Haha. 😀🎹🎶
@AlekDarson2 жыл бұрын
Thanks GMD! Dude absolutely start a series like that, heck you got so much gear it would go on forever ♾️

If you buy the optional wheels for these stands, you'd have a bit more ground clearance which would probably solve the problem you showed with the odd shaped guitar. But thanks for the helpful review.
@AlekDarson2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Glad you liked the video! I actually had some other stands with wheels like that, and was never crazy about the look (plus I don't really need that functionality in the studio). I'm thinking I'll probably add some felt or rubber feet if need be in the future. Cheers!
@joshuaandrews15572 жыл бұрын
@@AlekDarson The official casters also put the stands at just the right height so an iRobot Roomba won't hit the guitars.
@inhabitantmusic90512 жыл бұрын
I like them, the guitars seem not as angled. The Price! Ouch! Don't you worry about dust on your instruments? I only have 6 guitars, 2 bases, 1 les paul 2 fender stratocaster and 1 seagull acoustic. I leave them vertical in their cases! I hate dust on my instruments! 😊 I enjoyed your video!
@AlekDarson2 жыл бұрын
You can say that again haha! I kinda use (almost) all of them all the time, so I need them at the ready. Glad you liked the video!
