I recently bought a new bike that happens to come with this Q-loc system. It's a cumbersome and difficult system and I regret buying the bike. My previous bikes have the normal, tried and tested system which is easy to use. Why do we need this new, more complex and user-unfriendly system? Why fix something that is not broken?

Solution: you can simply replace this complicated collet with a regular M5 skewer nut.

I just bought a Trek Roscoe today with your Suntour XCM 32 front shocks. I bought the bike while keeping in mind that I would have to buy new shocks. Please tell me why I should keep these shocks. 19 out of 20 times the collet will not go completely flush into the axle and will get caught on the edge of your fork and won't pull out....this is not an improvement.

Hi, i like the system but i want that the cables goes into the frame; i Own a santacruz blur 2024 and i want to run tact i'm My bike. I SEE that the cables can run into the frame vía bottlecage holes , so in that way i can get tact and they two bottleges to set the system there; olso , the front suspensión has his Own hole direct to the inside of the frame. Can You explain me how can i do the installation properly to run the system in My bike in the rigth way? . Or maybe i can install the batery inside the frame of the blur just Bellow of the bottlecage like the first bmc fourstroke prototype of pidcock or like the pinarello?. That may be way better having in count that the blur has three bottleges , two in the downtube. Thanks for the answer, i'm waiting with great expectations .

An overly complex design. The collet end is held together with a small retaining ring. If it pops off, you will have a 15 piece jigsaw puzzle to reassemble. Imagine dealing with this on the trail...
