Honestly, I hope 'Hacking the Case Interview' agrees with me here: If you don't have time to prepare, PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME. If you don't like solving cases then you most likely won't like the job either. Learn to like what you do and you will take your time for solving cases. Great video btw!

Definitely agree! If cases feel fun and interesting for you, then you'll likely enjoy the job.

When is the right time to share a hypothesis? Would it be after asking clarifying questions at the beginning of the interview and then later after the data analysis/ quants portion?
@HackingtheCaseInterview7 күн бұрын
The earlier the better! You can share after you present your framework or after answering the first big case question

Recruiters in Germany like to see the photo format with 2 columns usually. I am not sure if the Consulting Recruiters in Germany do the same. Do you suggest keeping 2 formats for consulting and non consulting jobs?
@HackingtheCaseInterview16 күн бұрын
I can't speak to German recruiter preferences, but the tips provided in the video are for consulting resumes. I'd recommend asking around others in the industry you are applying to!

You truly deserve the support, but I've checked the price and it's $300, which is way too expensive for most people. In my opinion, a fair price would be $150 so that anyone can afford this service. Just something to think about. Good luck!

This is such a well made video. I have a question regarding case study assessments. The ones that comprise of 30-40 pages, and we are given like 2-3 days to prepare for it in advance. Then during the interview we have to make a presentation regarding a topic related to the case study. So, should I follow the same structure/framework for those as well like you have explained in this video? Do you have any additional material available regarding those types of case studies?
@HackingtheCaseInterviewАй бұрын
You can use the same structure/framework for written case interviews. We have a video coming out on written case interviews - stay tuned!

@@HackingtheCaseInterview That sounds great. Will be looking forward to it. For this case you suggested that our client shouldn't enter the market based on the current market competitiveness. What if we had already invested a significant amount in the past, and what if the market was expected to grow even more in the future? What will our approach be then? In that case I don't think it is right to recommend not investing any further.

Actually I’m in the group of industry hire and currently work as a senior associate in a big4 firm, but I plan to quit the firm this year for a management consulting job. Though your sharing is quite clear, would you mind advising me which level is fit with my current background?(graduated in a non-targeted university, 3 years of auditing in big4). Much appreciate your valuable sharing!

Given the current economy, you may be leveled in the entry-level role that recent undergrad graduates are placed in. To be placed in the post-MBA role, you typically would need at least 4-5 years of work experience.

I'm a tad confused. Typically, in case interviews, I'm of the understanding that you develop your market entry framework at the beginning of the case. How do you figure out the first two questions in a structured way before moving onto your market entry framework?
@mxxxxxx11Ай бұрын
Personally speaking, I would first ask the business model and the target of the company, then ask for a minute or two to make a rough framework, then start the market entry framework. But this really depends on the company and the interviewer. It seems to have worked with me so far. You can always incorporate the first two questions within the framework if there is a suitable way on a case by case basis.
