Sumping will, in fact, cause excessive oil vapor. The crankshaft is “splashing” that oil around causing excessive oil vapor

Had a friend strap his bike by the handle bars and bent them. I was compressing the forks, and one time didn't compress them enough. I hit a bump and one hook dropped off. Saw it on the rear camera before the bike fell off. This looks like the best and safest method to ratchet strap a bike. Got it on a rail on the back of the motorhome, and still working on a way to do this alone, because sometimes that's just the way it is. Can't wait to tighten the heck out of it, and finally make it rock solid back there. So hard to drive a 40 ft diesel pusher, with one eye on the camera all the time checking if the bike is okay. Thanks for the great info.

I’m looking real hard into this seat. I’m short, 5’6” on a good day. I have a Dyna Superglide, I’m wondering if I even need the backrest at all especially with the large back part of the seat being about 6”. Opinions? Also does the backrest fold forward so that you can swing your leg across?
@RidinDad
@RidinDad 2 күн бұрын
It doesn’t fold forward. You just gotta kick your leg up higher. Honestly with your height you may not even be able to use the backrest because your arms will be slightly shorter for your height I think an sdc pro would benefit you more.

I just ordered one (P5...so i guess thats Gen 2). One thing I wish it had was an EVA semi hard case. My fear is that it could get turned on while in the saddlebag and discharge in error. Did you put yours in any type of hardcase? curious what would fit best.
@RidinDad
@RidinDad 4 күн бұрын
I’ve never had it in a hard case. And it’s never turned on. You have to hold the power button for several seconds to turn it on and once it’s on you have to hit the button again to start the air. If it rests no change in air pressure after a bit it will auto shut off. And if it’s not pumping after a bit it’ll auto shut off too. So I think you’ll be fine. Even if it turns on it will eventually auto shut off anyway

Honest, I just looked at their website a few days ago, and their new EOX helmet has a new version of the shockwave that fits on both sides of the helmet in these kind of air duct spots and the use ability actually looks pretty decent. I might have to try that helmet out and that Audio set up. They also partnered with Cardo For a version of that shockwave, which is very nice to see

Wash your bike before perform an oil chang es to avoid dirt inadvertently falling in. IT IS NOT A WET CLUTCH. DO NOT USE motorcycle oil, or atc oil as he does. Use conventional automotive 10w 40. Open the oil fill cap before draining. Put the oil filter spring between the filter and the cover to ensure a tight seal on the mating sufaces. The oil capacity is NOT between 1.8 and 2 liters. It takes 2.1 liters.

Old video, but I did risers on my Low Rider S and changed out the upper brake line and had to bleed the brakes. Used a hand pump (mightyvac) and had absolutely no luck. No pressure in my front brakes at all. Went to my local HarborFreight and bought this same pneumatic brake bleeding kit for $30, bled both sides twice, and finally have the full brake pressure back. Since I'm positive that I introduced a lot of air in the ABS system in the initial bleed process with the mightyvac, I'm still taking it to Harley to have them purge the ABS system (better safe than sorry). But this video helped me out a TON to get my front brake pressure back. Thanks for the video.

Just came upon this video great explanation of both topics. Interestingly enough I had modified my 96” twin cam and started noting more oil into my air kit. I did a fair amount of research on vented dipsticks and trans covers. I installed the A1 Cycles vented dipstick and rode the bike for 1500 miles. Removed the air cleaner and noticed a marked decrease in blow by residue. Very minor amount not worth doing anything further. Reason I went with the A1 it was half the price of feulings dipstick. Do you have any thoughts on either product the A1 does not have a check valve the feuling does. Bikes been running great perfect oil pressure too. Not worried about dumping with a twin cam but I do keep an eye on it no symptoms at this time
