If there are mountains in Nevada why aren’t they part of the Rocky’s since that state is a mountain state?

Hi, is it possible to go there with a 28ft RV. Not for overnight only for looking for garnets for a day. Or is it possible to park and walk close to tbe hill? thanks a lot

Love birding at HBVP when I'm in the LV area! A true testament to what can be done with conservation groups and municipalities work together. The city of Henderson should be very proud of this gem.

Hey Vegas PBS, nice video. I enjoy all of your outdoor videos and shows. Outdoor Nevada is definitely my favorites, and Wild Nevada is distant 2nd, but it is second. John Burke is just a great host. First Creek is one of my favorite quick hikes. It's nice to see it highlighted. I hope everyone who visits helps to keep it clean.

It's a fun tour. That blue cylinder inside Ice Cap is hanging from a cable, but it's not that obvious, and I started to get a bit of vertigo from thinking it was stationary while it gently swayed. I don't know why they don't let you take photos. I don't think we saw anything classified. You get to eat at the cafeteria with the site workers, so maybe that's what they are protecting. Also, this is adjacent to Area 51 and I got zero feeling that there were little green men a few miles away.
