Looks like a great lecture. Just going to save it to Watch Later

I put this video in a playlist to watch at a later time, only now while scrolling through it some 6-7 years later did I find it. I'll make sure to watch it later though!

47:25 "If we look at it, it's rather pathetic. That's one of the reasons I can't procrastinate anymore cause I think, how pathetic do I want to be here?" I would strongly suggest dropping this from the lecture if you still give it. Not sure what your studies say about shaming the behavior you're trying to fix but it sure *seems* unsightly.

This video has a lot of good lessons, but it could improve it's structure for understanding. A lot of different topics flow into each other a lot, and it makes it less clear what is more important. No clear directions or things to do.

A well known strategy that has been lying around for ages: in formulating your outcome, BE SPECIFIC. - what exactly, concretely? - when exactly? Pat yourself on the back along the way.

So planning and making lists is procrastination itself. Haha A lot of meta comments here. Maybe procrastinators tend to go meta more often?..... A lot of the ideas were already around more than 35 years ago in the beginning years of NLP. Some of the practitioners are socalled big motivational gurus, nowadays. Or calling themselves life coaches. Weird world, where self help books are bestsellers but they all say the same things over and over again, but the adult population is increasingly suffering from depression.... and

I've watched it after two years in watch later, and I'm back because I linked this to someone and they got back to me.... anyway, I think it's worth prioritizing on a month-long timescale. I've found that as I've learned more about procrastination and kept it in my mind more I've gotten better at dealing with it and aligning my short term mind with my long term goals.

I was procrastinating by listening to KZfaq and came across this and now I am halfway through and need to put this off in order to do my job again. Really great lecture. I have lots of anxiety in my final year of graduate school in which I didn't do much...one thing is certain: without a worthy goal and belief that you can achieve it, you just keep procrastinating.
