All good. Not really a mistake because you getting wider actually forced the enemy BB to sit tight and not push me. If had chosen to shoot your broadside more often though he might have got some cits with your angles. A win is a win though :)

I am ok with most ships but don't really excel at anything and don't have a 'main' as such. I just use my clans discord so can't really use that but happy to play games just with out chat.

Indeed minotaur its a very good cruiser, great aa, maneuvrability and powerful AP, nice match bdw. But one wrong move and showing the broadside to a yamato and boom 460mm of pure hentai smack yo citadel out of the face of the planet 😭😭

Yeah it was a good fight and as you noticed we had a good team. Win or lose as long as the game is fun and close you want to play another and that isn't always possible if you get a bad team.

Great match dude! Stalingrad is indeed a tanky cruiser (it has better arrmor like its a bb and not a cruiser 😭) today I got Duke of York, and a tier 5 cruiser for nothing, just luck =))) im happy about that, and the Duke of York came from a super container, when I frist saw the ship box, I thought it was a thunderer, I swear if it was thunderer I would jump trough window 😭😭😭

The torpedoes on the Des Moines were normal. The submarine opened up until it was between the two islands and was able to launch them without difficulty.

wow ok. Watching it again they must have a stupid turn rate. So when he pings at 17:07 how are the torps going in a straight line from where they first get spotted? That doesn't seem possible at all. I would at least expect them to be turning in because for the sub to move from the ping location to where the torps are spotted he would have to be turning or is the shooting angle also huge (at lower levels it is just front and back 45' or 60' angles). The designers of this game must take some serious drugs lol

@@Grumpy_Hobbit I think the submarine is simply moving towards the Des Moines to avoid the islands. What you say about the torpedoes is that there are two factors that create confusion. The first is the detection distance of the torpedoes and the second is that if you launch the torpedoes at depth, they do not rise to the surface until you make the ping.

I could understand if the torps were turning left but they are just moving forward in a straight line and that seems impossible from where the sub as to be in relation to his position from the last 2 pings...guess until I get one and can test it I will not understand it. I have a physical resistance to illogical stuff and can't help how my brain works lol

Hi Grumpy, from what I've seen the submarine fired the torpedoes to your right and he was going to your left. That's why when he pinged you the direction of the torpedoes seemed strange. I haven't seen anything abnormal in that situation. I think he launched the torpedoes with plenty of time until the ping. He thinks that his torpedoes are 14km away and he has time to distance himself from their trajectory. That's my opinion, I hope I've helped you. 👍

That was my thought but I didn't realise the torps could turn that much so that is crazy. I only have a tier 6 and so guess it is just lack of knowledge about just how dumb and ill designed homing torps are. Can you explain the torps hitting the Des Moines though as that doesn't make any sense at all even with what you said about the torps that hit me...Or do they literally turn 90' on a dime?

@@Grumpy_Hobbit No, they don't turn that much. When torpedoes go in a direction too far from the ship, they have a hard time turning and eventually get lost.

@@Victor-si7wt OK so how does the sub move from the first ping, in a diagonal towards the Des Moines, and then is able to pull away and turn again in time to get the front facing torps away from the position they come from? There doesn't seem to be enough time to move, turn and shoot for the torps to be fired without turning. As per my comments about guess I will have to wait till I get one to understand the mechanics for tier x subs.

Thanks you. I don't play them often and find them hit and miss so I always like to win the first game and get the daily bonus so I can play other ships. Plus I am not as good in them as you or Leipe so I usually let the pro's play them lol

ahh the nr9 large. fun ship to play with it's fast start stop and turning. however 40sec is a long time for reload. one thing that helped me was to shoot the cannons two and two

Thanks for the advice. I have started to do it though it is not habit yet so I often forget. I think especially at long and short range staggering the shots is useful. I have got a few nice hits doing what you say and baiting a cruiser to turn and I get off another salvo. Thanks for watching and hopefully I get a game showing off your advice :)

True! Salem is a very good cruiser, its a bit tanky and good guns, plus you have that radar man, witch is so useful, you just spawn in a match and just fu#k destroyers, they gonna alt+f4 and cry 😭😭 (nice video 🔥)

That was a very good match mate! You did very well, i can t really find some mistakes, but i can give you some advice for vermont line (kansas, minesota, vermont) they are so slow bro... theyre slow, very long reload speed i mean... dayum 40 sec reload speed... and they are not some brawlers like german bbs, they slow, they big, and they have so much reload speed, you have to play vermont line like youre playing a yami (yamato), slow, from behind, holding the line, and don t push, thats how i play vermont line... but again you did so good, the only mistake i saw was your teammates... like every match 😭😭 (wows teammates are something else dude 😭💀) W video 🔥

11:27 That's the only one (speaking of mistakes) that i saw. That Tsurugi, flat broadside...... Is a must!!! 😂. The rest you played very well.... The start was good, you saw your team mates with not intentions for push and you stayed holding the line. That was a nice desicion.

Thanks and yeah missed a very clear broadside as you pointed out. From my first games in this ship I have got better but still feel I am not getting quite enough when I play. Just feel I sit too far back but whenever I push I get obliterated because no one backs me up. Guess I just need to keep learning :)

@@Grumpy_Hobbit with that line that's the play style. Kansas, Minnesota and Vermont (the brick) are too slow and big, not to mension the heavy reload of the main guns, push at the start with no support is buy a fast ticket to port

Vermont line is indeed a very good choice, I main the montana line, I have both montana and iowa, they are so good, especially with that dispersion module. Montana line is more faster and maneuvrable then the vermont one, the vermont line is more bulky, and have better guns, now the choice is yours what you gonna play... personally I like montana more then vermont, if you know how to angle a montana this ship is a beast. Nice video bdw 🔥

I am starting to get a hang of the guns now and need to start working on my positioning it it as I think I can get a bit more aggressive but that will come the more I play in it. No fire protection. Missed a lot of shots. At least you had some brains to kite. However you missed that York way too many times. Missed alot of shots. Have to b more selective with 30 seconds per shot

Fire protection is a must, I just don't have the points yet...in fact I have no BB captains yet with points for it. Yeah I often just shoot to get chasers to turn and slow down knowing I am unlikely to take them out. My goal is to buy time to give my team time to win their fight and turn round. But I am getting better with my aiming on BB's and agree with taking time which is why I prefer Cruisers. Thanks for the advice.

Yep. 1 fire is a waste unless you are going to die from it. Fire damage can be repaired so unless you absolutely must, hold off repairs till you need it.
