As a former wildland firefighter of 10 years, it still gives me chills everytime I think of the Granite Mountain HotShots! My crew was sent out west to Idaho and Utah from Kentucky the next year, and can still vividly remember how much my family worried about our crew from this incident. Of course it was on all of our minds the entire trip as well. If anyone ever gets a chance to go to the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, it’s well worth the experience to walk through the Wildland Firefighters Monument. It was a bone chilling experience and would love to go back again someday!!

1:57 Should they have dropped their Gear Bags on the Ground so they had more room inside the Truck?

The problem is Devil runs the world. He is lier and murderer. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)

Cap Guzman, if you ever read this, i can guess you dont have a very clean white helmet, and i respect the hell out of you for it. You kept your boys alive that day, you saw how dangerous it was getting and how quick. Bravo.

I’ve worked fire intermittently when they need all the hands they can get, but the men and women who do it all day every day are a step above the rest.

Why in the Hell would anyone vote for someone running as a democrat? Climate change is real, and it is a natural phenomenon, and we can't legislate our way out of it at the expense of killing the economy

13 years ago today we lost 19 great and brave men. their community will never forget their sacrifice and bravery and a new monument went up for them a few weeks ago and was officially unveiled today. bless them and everything they did on that day, they will never be forgotten.

I toured this aircraft at KMCC back in 2018 after the Camp fire. What a sight to behold. Sad that it's no longer a fire bomber. #747 #CalFire #wildlandfire
