I ordered 2 separate Lewitt mics yesterday before I saw this YT video, or I'd have used your link. I'm getting 1 LCT 440 Pure VIDA and 1 LCT 441 Flex, both are mint used from a Reverb seller, so I can save a bit more money. Eventually, despite the differing colors, I want to try some Mid Side recording. Every single KZfaq demo, these Lewitt mics sound awesome.

There are products I give straight up negative reviews to and some I praise, but I'm sure there are plenty of videos titled that way.
@focusonjunta5 күн бұрын
I think you left out the only other BIG negative (in addition to the ridiculously low gain of 57db which has caused me to spend a ridiculous amount of money on Cloudlifters), and that is: there is no way to bypass the internal preamps on the Clarett+ 8Pre... A very logical, sensible 'upgrade for someone reaching the 'limits of their existing interface' is to buy a high quality external mic-pre... Yet, that there is no way (in the analog domain) to defeat the internal mic-pre... Atrocious skimping on Focusrite's part. Other than those two negatives - solid 'enthusiast' interface for sure.
@JacobDarkOfficial5 күн бұрын
I ended up being fine with the built in gain and never needed a signal booster. As far as not being able to bypass the pres I just use the line ins on the rear for external gear.
@focusonjunta5 күн бұрын
@@JacobDarkOfficial The rear inputs still go through internal preamps - there is, unfortunately, NO way to defeat them.

Looking for a replacement for my older ROG, this may fit the bill. I'm doing strictly only music production (Ableton Live and many VSts) - don't care about the GPU performance at all. Fan noise and heat were the big issues with my last ROG, wondering if this one can be made to stay quiet. Also I'd want to max out the RAM and NVME storage.

It states on MSI website that it can go up to 175hz, but mine reaches 120hz only. And when I change it to 120hz, the display automatically shrinks and I have 2 black borders on left and right. Right now for fullscreen I have to keep it at 50hz. It is a new build. Any idea why this happens?

are you using hdmi or display port? do you change the settings through windows or directly through monitor?
@Gossosgrocs5 күн бұрын
@@Rasakson thanks, I'm using hmdi 2.1. I had the display 3440x1440 through windows settings. What I did to solve it, was pushing the navi key behind the monitor, go to settings, choose HDMI 2.1 option and change from Console mode to PC mode. It unlocked the 175hz 3440x1440 and no problems. I year warranty is crazy short. Though having said that I've used an LG B9 OLED for gaming around ten hours per week since 2019 and have no burn in issues. But i have started to notice small clusters of dead pixels around the edges of the screen for the last year. Not such a big issue on a 55" screen, but would be problematic on a 16" one.

@5:49 you say that Antelope alway seems to have an edge with latency but what you're showing is that MK5 is lower/smaller latency 3.271 than Zen 3.688 One thing that's bothered me is all these new interfaces seem to limit the frequency range to 20hz -20khz (human hearing) This is sad because they advertise 24 bit 192 to capture more resolution of the audio signal. I'm used to a Roland UA-101 (20hz-40khz) 40 bit internal processing would have been perfect except the snr. Why would creators want that kind of range? Film/games and ambience in music. You need higher resolutions to stretch out audio to keep the smoothness intact otherwise it starts sounding like low bit rate/ hollow and tinny.
