@@redartisanwolf6716 thank you very much! It worked well, I’ve used acid a few times since then and some carburetors take longer than others. But don’t leave them in the acid for too long (overnight”) because you might only have a shaft and butterflies left!

Hello brother, this is the video I was waiting for, thank you , you made it look so easy. the flywheel shims that was a good tip, do you also use the dial up tool to set the flywheel end play. the way you did it is much simple. Also do you use any kind of sealant when using the metal push rod tube seal ? I got a short block that I need to put together and this video give me very much confident. Great job brother ,looks very good. Using washers to pull dents is a great tip. One question, had you used the spot welder to put panels together or you prefer the the mig welder? Just purchased a dual tip spot welder to work on my Double Cab so I don't have to drill and grind to much especially on the floor and bed panels . You have a blessed week

Nice job with the porting. I note that in all the videos I have watched, the presenter has not physically bolted up the exhaust flanges to the relevant ports using Prussian Blue or Bearing Blue, then unbolt to confirm the areas to be removed for a near perfect match. Maybe your gasket match was good enough. Well done anyway. Cheers

I use the gasket to port both sides (head and flange) also I try to not be bigger than the actual valve.

1776cc is the way to go, nothing better than bigger displacement as long as the compression stays around 8.5 it will be fine

Hi, Rod. I really love what you do. It has to be nice to find ovals and buses so easily there in the States. In Spain is very hard. Can I ask some? I'm about to make a 1776 cc with an Engle w110 and 40x 35,5 heads. Would you put a 35mm or 38 mm exhaust tube? Thanks for your videos

Why did you graind it just to remove the paint when you could have acid washed it to remove the paint fast and and down every hole and would have saved you a lot of time and work or made you did to stay out of the house.

@@RodsVWGarage If you are going to send in to get it painted and with all the mini bus shops around I bet they could tell you on one or ask some or a friend if you have one shop close by nothing is a have to just a suggestion I now money doesn't grow on trees but hey I know the feeling of doing your own work same with me a radio and "tune in, turn on and drop out from time and the world around you".

You can modify the beam however you would like 👍🏻, I preferred the plates because they have 7 degrees of caster and it will stay straight

Hola José, no soy puertorriqueño y muchas gracias por el apoyo. No se corta por que le puse cigüeñal 74mm stroker y pega en la biela. Si las rockers son 1:1 y el árbol de levas es 294x435 lift es como un 120 mas o menos. Gracias de nuevo hasta la próxima ✋

Hola. Buen video. Me llamo Jose. Estás poniendo un 74 y pistones 90.5. Tienes un deck de 50 y un CR de 7.6. Pero no se si dijiste que arbol de levas estas usando. Creo que las rods son stock. Que culatas estas poniendo? Unas CB Performance de 40 y 35.5? Y una ultima cosa. Cuantos caballos te da esa configuración? A mi me gustaria ponerle a mi beetle algo para usar a diario pero que tenga punch. Muchas gracias y sigan subiendo videos. Son maravillosos.

Bueno muchas gracias 🙏🏼, los pistones son 88cc por que era lo que tenía disponibles en el momento, usando cabezas originales porteadas, las bielas son stock, el árbol es 295x435! No se cuantos caballos tiene pero tiene mucho torque para pasear es excelente

Morning start for my wife the carburetor is working great but cold start you have to pump to started with duals you don’t. and the clean look 👀

Single carbs, need a lot heat, from the exhaust system to work well. Both on the manifold & air filter assembly. Just like the stock system had. VW did that for a reason.

@@RodsVWGarage The engine is a 1600 dual port and the carb is a 34 PICT-# that I got front amazon, one I noticed at the carburetor manifold it be cold , the preheat tube is cut off, do you think this may be the problem, the gasoline is to cold?
