Not surprising that in the credits the movie is dedicated to Laurel & Hardy.

This is one of my dad's favorite movies. It's not great though does have some standout really funny scenes that probably influenced Mel Brooks

By the way, the image of the professor ridiculed invention and played not only a comedic role, but also destroyed the idea of unorthodox development of science and technology ;)

They don't make movies like this anymore. It's a shame, because these were great.

The stunt was perhaps inspired by the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system, used by the CIA.

The Great Race and The Villain both classic slapstick movies, both underrated.
@gregmckinnon729114 күн бұрын
These two (knuckleheads) (great actors) were absolutely ideal as the villans in this movie! They stole the show and made "the great Leslie" ( ha!) look like a pansy. The stupid look on Peter Faulks face when they took off in this scene never fails to get me howling with laughter!

The guy builds a rocket, a pedal-power blimp, and a boat with a homing torpedo. Also he built a tricked-out car. This guy could have been a weapons manufacturer and an arms dealer.
