Hello my friend, I like your explanation and the way you work, and I want to ask if I want to make a hand chain that weighs 100 grams, 875 caliber, and measures 19. Please tell me what equation I should use.

Hi great video I myself have been making rings a year now and just about to try my first chain I have the rolling mill and draw plate I’m using 24k gold tho Just trying to get my head around how many links I will need to make a 24” chain Here’s how I see it 1mm wire at 120” long Each link to be 5mm Every inch you can get x5 links at 5mm to every 25mm being a inch So 5 links to every inch … so 24 x5 = 120 Does that sound right ? Actually it will be bigger then 24” because I will make a 2g w clasp that will measure 25mm And another 2 flat links to go to the W clasp Thanks any help would be appreciated

Could you use a coffee filter or shop towel to filter? Also when testing the material are you going to use stannous chloride? By the way you are awesome. I hit the like and subscribed 😁🤘👀🍿

Great job. I tried doing that too . But joints after cutting both ends before soldering didn’t met each other. Hence It was soldered but ends came apart minute after solder .

My youngest son that’s 11 has a 16” Gold Rope Chain 10K hollow and he hasn’t had issues until today it broke. It’s only a $200 chain but I still would like it fixed. What would a good price be for this repair when I get estimates from a few places here in Arizona?

You should be able to do that with pliars. Just be careful because 10k is more brittle/hard so it is more likley to crack than 14k or 18k. Let us know how you do!
