Hello, I am a graduate student majoring in process mining. I want to know if there are any open source databases available. I have obtained some data from BPIC before, and I also want to obtain other databases for research. If you are willing to help me, I would greatly appreciate it

Very interesting, but having to translate broke the flow and made it very difficult for english speakers. I appreciate the attempt though.

Thank you Anne. Thank you Muthu and forum. The case study gave several insights and approach to be taken from PEX view. I am also a automation professional so was keen to know how this tool also helps to discover automation potential. If there is any such use case - please share

Thanks Nandan! That's great to hear. One case study that shows how process mining can help to discover automation potential is here: fluxicon.com/blog/2016/07/automation-platforms-and-process-mining-a-powerful-combination/ -> You can find a collection with process mining examples categorized by industry and use case here: fluxicon.com/blog/2022/04/process-mining-use-cases/

Very good, applied and practical example of filters in Process Mining. First-time-right is an important aspect to be reviewed in all business processes.

Thanks, Kay! First-time right is such a simple concept but it automatically directs the attention in the right direction and helps to eliminate rework and other types of waste.

As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt myself, I realized the benefits of Process Minings since some years ago when I decided to take the Dr. Wil Van Der Aalst Coursera course and got the certificate. Definitely Process Mining is a game changer as you don't need to hold long mapping sessions anymore in Kaizen events, where people many times just let you know how the process should look like but not all the deviations and variants, as you can easily see by using Process Mining.

A great angle here for your value prop Anne is Customer Effort Score. Disco - based analysis can be a powerful tool for reducing friction and effort in the customer journey and, thereby, reduce customer effort score. C.E.S. is considered nowadays as powerful a metric as NPS, if not more

Do you always need to import event logs in to Disco or is there a way to connect to an ERP to collect real-time events and mine process on the go?
@fluxicon
@fluxicon 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Since version Disco 1.7.0, you can use the Airlift API to connect Disco directly to a system or data warehouse where your event log data can be pulled from. You can learn more in our introductory post here: fluxicon.com/blog/2014/07/disco-1-7-0/ If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected].

This is no bottleneck analysis, only how long a specific case takes to be picked up and worked on again. A real bottleneck analysis would show a rise in the backlog of an activity. This is something all vendors of Process Mining tools get wrong! Rolling balls are only for C-level - not for Analysts!

Brilliant! Watching this in 2017, and i am still amazed by the possibilities of process mining. I've tried to use this in a couple of assignments in Manufacturing Excellence. Although most of the manufacturing industry isn't yet capable to capture data at activity level. They just have it a very high level, hence i wasn't really successful. I am still hopeful.

I liked the definition of process model as a process-oriented meta-model on top of the data. By the way, you reuse the sailing example quite a lot in your talks. Would be cool if you come up with another equally powerful example from the history of humanity :) Other than that - great tutorial.
