I remember seeing a 60 Minutes one Sunday doing a segment in Jim, relating what he had done in the music industry up until his “death”. They showed the speaker in a Paris, France cemetery at the headstone of Jim saying there was a lot of speculation as to whether or not he was buried there?????I understand that he had a strained relationship with his father caused by his fathers involvement with the start of the VM war. He was the Captain of the ship that was fired upon in theGulf of Tonkin( no one hurt no damage.) My wife’s brother was a room mate of Jim’s on the Hollywood strip in the late 60’’ Along with Nancy Deedrick and Larry “Byrd” Hindman, a drummer with Smokestack Lightening”

Pretty sure ole Jim wanted you to think he killed a guy and got his car. Just my take on this great piece that was maybe made by UCLA film school guys, like Jim. Haunting and awesome. As he sang once, "Give this man a ride, sweet family will die."

Certainly the greatest American group of the era -- more interesting than CCR and more consistently good than Hendrix. (My $.02). DEFINITELY under-rated by 70's and 80's critics and scenesters who got too hung up on the band's mainstream popularity or Morrison's physical beauty.
