I've been having a lot of fun so far, and when I saw that Alexandras Summerween vlog was up, my happiness was absolutely perfect! Great video… especially the camping and the Baking attempt 😂. I read the girls I’ve been by Tess sharpe this summer and loved it! I also read the sequel and loved it too 🥰

That is dedication with the reading in the tent at night. The furthest I'd ever go reading in the dark would be reading at my kitchen table with the light off, so I can easily and quickly turn it back on! A couple of my favorite books I read this summer are The Unmaking of June Farrow and The Art of Scandal.

About the egg whites that didn't foam up... you said that there is a little bit of an egg yolk in the bowl before the mixing and that's the reason why... You will never get a stiff foam if there is even the tiniest bit of an egg yolk there ;)

If you want the best book I read this summer, that would be Starling House. That being said I live in Australia and summer was back in January and February for me. We are coming out of the winter currently and the best book I read this winter was Eyes Guts Throat Bones which is a short story collection and a new favourite. We are about to go into Spring over here, and I could never work out how the people who really love summerween will feel about the fact that we have Halloween during the spring time. I mean it isn't summer, but it is at the end of the second month of spring so it can be really warm depending on the weather and outside is very green and lush.

Your experience of trying to make those cookies is so relatable! Haven't we all been there at some point, despairing over a baked good gone wrong LOL The best book I read this summer is Frankenstein by Mary Shelley!

This was my first year participating in summer ween. Halloween is my favorite holiday hands down. I took time to really pick my 5 books that i felt were most interesting. I bought a Summerween shirt and sipped pumpkin spice coffee and listened to Halloween sounds in background. The books I chose to read were Murder in the Villa.. Hollowed..Shade..Psycho and Salt and Broom. All were good!
