I find myself topping the ball because I’m pulling up on my top half before I make contact. I’m convinced I need to lengthen my clubs

I have been pulling my wedge’s recently, implementing more of a hip turn when i start the down swing has also helped (i think about starting my downswing by rotating by belt buckle while remaining strong at the top of my backswing so my hands dont lag too far behind) but im interested to try this aswell. Thanks bro

I found out it's because I have blades, and 4/5 are a hitch to hit with them.

I have a swing speed around 115-120, so when I miss, it's a block that goes a long way the wrong way. Always happens when I'm nervous on a hole for some reason.

In baseball all the pressure is on the lead foot while swinging...
@RichardRiceGolf
@RichardRiceGolf 2 ай бұрын
Actually the pressure is more against the lead foot as the body’s center of mass is much more behind that foot than a golf swing, especially an iron swing. This, on force plate technology, would show more pressure back

Great advice but not for everyone I would play around with it if anyone reading this. cuz I push down with the left and hinge my right and it works for me. 👌 only on irons tho doesn’t work on driver.

This is the golf version of the Skiers paradox. When a skier goes through the trees on a slope, if all they’re thinking is “don’t hit that tree, don’t hit this tree, avoid that tree” they will eventually end up hitting one of the trees because they’re focused on missing a different one. So instead, skiers focus on the clear path they’re taking, not the obstacles they’re avoiding. It’s much easier to avoid 10 trees at once’s by focusing on the path between them, rather than trying to avoid 10 trees at once.

Whats your perfect stance for irons?

Feet closer together, ball in centre of stance and no tilt. Driver hitting up, Iron hitting down.

it was suggested to me that for a "feel the head weight" player, I can use a more flexible shaft , to feel the head weight better.but will have to close the face up to 20%. you get the straighter longer shot. if that's what your after. I know for me, 64y, hc 9, average drive 255-260+m when I use a S ,I draw, when an X even more draw.when a R, I push right, so I close my face and hit more fairways. And , with a S and X I can't feel the club head as well. so R seems to be the right set up. that may help you

I find I’m most consistent with the butt of the grip just barely touching my lead thigh. Otherwise it’s a guessing game on if I’m duplicating the distance each time. Works for me 🤷‍♂️
