Hi ive got a plum cloured receiver one, 1971, ive heard the plum colour was in fact a blueing fault! I removed my bakerlite pad and had it cast in brass, fitted a martini leather sling and installed a brass stock disc same as the SMLE engraved " GP Greener" had it 25 years never sell, my brother had the multi choke but for me too front heavy! Nice vid cheers!

Ive got the 14" self defense version with ghost ring sights. Best feature is the extended forend that slides over the loading port. Also you forgot to mention the chrome lined bore. You can pretty much neglect this gun all the time and itll never rust.

Not a rem 700 action. Not even close its 1000 times better design. The only thing in common w the 700 is the scope base mounts. The rest is unique to howa. Learn your product because u look n sound like a fool to anybody who actually pays attention to firearms details.

Can you shave down the groves to smooth it out a bit and make the grip area thinner? Or would you risk going through the plastic stock if you shave the groves down a bit.

Thanks for a great review Nick! I've been using mine on many hunts here in Sweden. Also favour the 26" barrel. For a while I fell for the urge to try a over-under, only to find it not aligning the two shots correctly, alas back to the supernova. :-) A pump compared to an over-under: as easy to make safe, as reliable, but with only one barrel=no uneasieness of worrying about the barrel alignement.

* Is there an option for double triggers? If not they are a poor gun to use for hunting, and their light weight will make them unpleasant to shoot as a clay target gun.

I love this range of country footwear. Latest purchase - a pair of of Capriola Tabacco. Worn them out all summer, including trips to Spain Portugal and Madeira. Walked for miles. Really comfortable. Especially like the lace to toe system for a better fit. Can't recommend them enough. Hoping to add a winter boot to my collection.

I was considering buying a supernova but I just came back in the house from shooting one that I borrowed from a friend and I wasn't impressed at all. I was expecting to fall in love but for a gun to weigh that much and still kick so hard is ridiculous. My Mossberg 500 with a synthetic stock handles 3" buckshot loads way better. All of this "talk" about light recoil is b.s. It definitely swings and throws well but not the fine Italian shotgun that it's made out to be. I ran #8 dove loads, 2 3/4" #4's, 2 3/4" buckshot and 3" buckshot through it and now I know why the guy said "You should shoot one before you buy one."

Anyone wanting a "first" gun to get into shooting on a budget can't do better than one of these. You can moderate the recoil by using 21 gram shells at the same time saving a few bob.

I live in America. I took a three day defensive shotgun class with my Remington 870. It kept locking up and wouldn't cycle the action to eject the spent shells when it got hot. I got fed up with it and at the end of that particular drill, I went up to the pro shop during the break and bought a Benelli Super-Nova Tactical with rifle sights. What a fantastic shotgun. Worlds ahead of my 870. The button on the bottom of the fore grip is a magazine bypass that allows for easier slug select drills. The trigger guard is shaped in such a way to allow dual loading of the mad-tube. You put the gun on its back and push the lifter down. It isn't spring loaded, so it stays down. You stack two shells in the loading port which extends to the front of the trigger guard. With your thumb, you push both shells into the mag tube. By loading the chamber first and dual loading the mag tube, you can go from an empty gun to fully loaded with a 4+1 capacity in seconds.
@olegk4552 жыл бұрын
What size shells allow for 4+1 loading on it? I purchased some 2 3/4 snap caps to practice and only two fit in the tube plus one in the chamber. And I am going to practice loading the chamber first like you mentioned.
@flip97gt2 жыл бұрын
@@olegk455 2-3/4 should in most cases get you 4+1. The SNT will probably go down to 3+1 if you load 3 or 3.5 inch shells in the tube.

Hi Nick, I recently purchased a Supernova and have since watched your video. I was surprised when inspecting the barrels that they do not bear the Fleur de lys mark. I would have thought that a gun like this would be made to use high performance steel cartridges. Do you use them in yours?
