With summer at our doorstep, sincere recommendations for Zero Flies! They have tons of cool products for dealing with flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and more... I purchased a couple of their zappers, and thumbs up! They do the magic (and look great)!

I’ve got itty bitty black ants coming in through the gap between my toilet and floor and the gap between my window and wall in my kitchen and back porch room. I put out Terro ant goo backers and bottles, put down diatomaceous earth around the toilet base and my dish rack, and sprayed Ortho around the perimeter of my main floor. Three months later, they were still coming. I had an exterminator come spray a week and a half ago. They’re still coming. Is it possible they’ve nested under my siding? Should I have my toilet sealed to the floor with silicone caulk? Do my windows need to be professionally replaced? And can I apply the products you mentioned myself?

Was sitting on the couch in my home in New Mexico with the door open to cool things down when one charged in and stopped near the bed. Couldn’t believe how fast it moved and how hard it was to kill. Now I know. Apparently they feign death too.

Amazing advices you have here. I have just one question, does it not make condensation if you use a tarp on top? Is it not better to use some kind of elevated piece of thin metal or even plywood to prevent rain on top ? Elevated i mean so there is some space between the Wood and the top, for best airflow.

Pill bugs can decimate blooms and fern fronds and even dusty miller that deters rabbits. The problem is excessive moisture…heavy rain fall over a period of time, heavy use of water sprinkler systems. Heavy use of insecticides is not the answer as this destroys valuable insects and the millions of organisms that make up soil. Check with a county agricultural agent or master gardener organization in your area for methods to use that are not destructive to everything.

I can’t tell if I’m finding baby roach or baby crickets! They have banded legs with black body with no tell tail markings on their backs! I found one Smokey one Pennsylvania wood roach spent all week calking cracks some so bad I could see through to outside! Like why wasn’t this done before they had me move in? Pissed! In a week I have only found these baby bugs I can’t identify. So far I spent 60 dollars on calk, it’s that bad if you really look

I moved into a house that the past tenants had not touched the yard in a long time. There is a small above ground pond surrounded by a little brick wall. Hornets have made a kingdom of pain within the brick wall and I have no idea how to treat this problem since they are in this barrier 😅 smart on their part.

Seems like if you just poured it around the base of the perimeter of the house (without trenching), that would soak the top 6 inches of soil and prevent termites from marching up into the wood. I mean, do they get through foundation? Yes, I'm lazy.

Boric acid sold in Home Depot works very well for me over the years. My condo remained bug (cockroach) free until I moved out of state for a job and rented it for a short period. When I visited the condo, it appeared as if the tenant was keeping a roach farm. From I entered the door, roaches were hurling themselves at me and flying like Ninja warriors across the kitchen! They were in the fridge, in bedrooms, all over! I was so shocked and disgusted that this guy was raising roaches in my place. I had left a full bottle of boric acid under the kitchen counter and told him to re-apply it every 3 months but he said he didn't remember. Apparently, the roaches came as part of his luggage (checked in and carried on). He never mentioned to me that roaches had taken over the place ( I guess he had a close relationship with them so it didn't bother him). I called in pest control immediately and ran him out of my condo as quickly as possible.... of course he left his baggages but they were severely damaged by then. After about two months of aggressive cleaning and monitoring and using my boric acid, they finally became null and void! The process is to mix the boric acid with a sweet syrup like pancake syrup until it forms a paste, then use a knife or small stick to put it in various places. Every crack and cranny, in kitchen drawers, cupboards, behind stove and fridge, etc. If you have pets, be careful where you place it. I personally use condensed milk to make my paste. It will harden after a while, but the roaches will go nibble on it and take it into their squatters paradise to feed on. In due time, you will find dried out roach carcasses all over the place! It's not immediate, but it's long-lasting.
