Both our flat knits and velours are great, but I'd say velour would be less likely to get damaged

Question. I finished the headliner and let it try but now some of the middle is loose. Is there a way to fix it withouth starting over? I'm afraid that if I pull an edge to try to respray glue it will rip because the edges are hoding well. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the video I just done my 2006 ve gts and its was pretty easy. I changed over the top mount stop light and put the roof lining back on . taking off is the hardest . probably saved my self a shit load of $$ if i had of got the dealership to do it .

The #1 preference is for you to get it fully repaired with new material. The twist pin or staple method is just a short term solution we see customers do until they can get it repaired. Thumb tacks/drawing pins can be dangerous for passengers if they fall out. For this reason the twist pin 📌 or staples is more ideal. Customers adding glue to old saggy fabric/foam can in fact hinder the final outcome of the overall professional repair, add more time, more cost, we see it all the time, so up to you 👍

Any idea if a Skoda Octavia from 2011 would be the oily type board like the VW and Audi? The Permatex adhesive is looking a bit less expensive than the T65 anyway.

You raised a good point which I agree with, which is that metal up against plastic can very easily dent the plastics. So viewers take note if doing this approach to use the tools carefully 👍 This video was filmed 6 years ago and on our first job of this style coming through. Nothing about it on the internet back then 😂, if we did an update to it these days well then our style would be to include voiceover. I think this video is great to revisit to see how the handles came off with using a couple flat heads, however there are other tools available to use for a different approach.

I think viewers think we do these quick repairs as an option, but to correct that misconception, all our jobs get recovered in new material, and the job in the video got a full recovery in new material too. We don't do quick repairs. This is just a quick video explaining a solution for short term fixes for those that are unable to get a repair done, and the twist pin method may just be the best solution. Drawing pins/thumb tacks are not ideal as they may come loose and be a serious concern for little passengers in the car ingesting them. Just adding Glue may damage the board and hinder the outcome of a professional repair.
