REALLY!!!! you have not even tried the Farmtech unit, they are built using the principals of the Groundhog Aerators. The Ranchworx which you are promoting is really old technology. So a machine that you promote that has to have welded on blade changes against a machine that will not break a blade and can be changed with spanners in a few minutes is disingenuous.

The Ranchworx has it's pros and cons. I am skeptical that a roller type aerator will add to soil compaction as opposed to relieving it. The biggest challenge that faces the Ranchworx design is the base cost, and importation. If they were actually affordable, you would see them throughout Australia but the reality is they're just too expensive. Also their product doesn't scale well, their smallest size appears to be 8' which rules out all small acreage / horse people / hobby farms etc which is arguably the biggest aerator market in Australia.

@@stevemorrison3392 You are correct I’ve never tried this brand but it’s like many other tyne type aerators on the market around the globe. I have about 30,000 acres on my blade aerator and have not had to replace a single blade because of rocks/breakage. Durability aside, I like the fact that the blades actually cuts the root structure and promotes regrowth.

@@bzaps I can tell you that the drum never touches the ground on my aerator. The blades keep the drum from touching. You definitely have a point with scale and price. There is no way to justify the price for a small application or operation. You should tell them to make a smaller Size

Because we're a business that sells farm machinery from an office, it is not always possible to have a machine working in the ground but we take any opportunity we can if we get it. We have videos of other Aervators working in the ground that would give a good indication of how this machines tines would perform if you're interested. Though none of this specific model itself.
