Our softub had a slight leak from somewhere. Took the whole motor/control unit to a repair shop. Charged $600 and it still leaked when put back together. Repair shop wanted $90 just to come out to our place and look at it, NOT including their hourly rate. They never really explained what they did to "repair" it in the first place. I'm sure sick of monkeying with it.

Thanks for filter Detail. But please show extraction of the bowl. One moment you show the top of the fuel filter assembly pointing out the 9/16th nut (~40 seconds into the video) and them poof it's on the bench (~40.001 seconds into the video). 8-/ Then at ~2:37 you just mention; ~"take it out thru that hole". to the right of my steering rod is the frame chassis, not open floor like you've pictured. O.o

@@jjtt2003 Thanks for the kindness and quickness of a reply! I didn't expect it, I just kept looking and found someone showing how to extract it and reinstall it with a hand towel and rubber band covering the open top to keep debris out, which was very important for my dirty truck. :)

Disconnect the shock from the axle and push down on the axle or jack up the other side and the spring comes right out. It seems that you could have just added spring spacers to the top of your bump stops and solved your problem for half the cost and 1/3 of the work.

I just received my kit for 96 4runner (Kit 60743 it says 2011 Sequoia) and it looks like yours. I thought I may have the wrong kit because it just seems like there is so much space for those air bags to rattle around inside the uncompressed springs (putting in new Moogs because I'm too cheap to buy better ones). Was hoping to see your kit under load to make sure bags were the right length. Does the airbag contact upper and lower surface of spring mounts when under vehicle weight?
@jjtt2003
@jjtt2003 2 жыл бұрын
On ours (sold years ago), I had to cut the bump stop out as seen in the video. Bought the airbags because of the sagging springs. So yes, with an empty vehicle I actually added enough air to raise the rear to what looked level to the front. Don't remember the psi needed. 15-20 maybe?
@redgreen610
@redgreen610 2 жыл бұрын
@@jjtt2003 Thanks, I had no jounce bumper in my 96 4runner (apparently some did not have them from factory). I still have quite a bit of space between airbag and upper spring saddle. I have new springs...maybe that's the difference. This kit is only going to stop all load going to the bump stop. I figured it would support the weight long before hitting bump stops. Figures I'd have the unusual 4runner setup!

My glass never looks like it’s oil in it . . What Do you think that is
@jjtt2003
@jjtt2003 3 жыл бұрын
Guesses: 1. There is no oil. Or 2. There is too much new oil that may look clearish in the sight glass as the bike is overfilled. Or 3. The bike isn't on a bike stand to insure it is level as it is filled. 4. Try this...look at the sight glass AS you fill the oil, as the sight glass is about a foot away. Once half filled, start, run for 30 seconds, turn off, let the oil settle for 30 seconds, add oil as necessary.

I'm sorry to hear you are the first to experience this. If the alignment of the part was exactly as described in the video, and you have the same year make and model, the error code coming back is strange to me. I'd make sure the alignment of the part is perfect. Again you are the first to have the code come back. I feel your frustration. I do think you'll overcome the problem. My car now has 50K more miles on it and the code has never come back once. Clear the code and see how quickly comes back. If it does, make sure the alignment is perfect.
