Nice video and thank you. Luther was heretical and refused to recant and was justly banished. The Jesuits saved Germany from the deformation.

Pay no attention to Americans. They think they can lord it over the rest of the world. They are ignorant and stupid. They deserve their ignorant and stupid president. German history goes back thousands of years. The Nazis, only 15 years.

Really? You stopped right before Cologne, the biggest, 2000 year old city on the Rhine river with the most visited landmark in all of Germany, its cathedral? Weird choice, but great footage until then.

It is not. It is, compared to what it used to look like (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pb5xoqifutXYf5c.html) but compared to other German cities like in the Ruhr region it does still look nice.@@jeanvaljean7266

Looking at the Rhine River in all of its beauty and peacefulness today, is dis-congruent to the knowledge that one my cousins was killed at Bingen-on-the-Rhine on 29 November 1944. It shows how much life and death are sometimes connected. My cousin was acting as a co-pilot on a US B-17 that had the mission of bombing the Marshalling Yards at Bingen where River Boats and the Railroad were bringing in supplies and equipment for the German army at the battle of the Budge in Belgium in December 1944. He was 20 years of age and on his first mission over enemy territory. The B-17 was hit over Bingen just after its bomb run by German Anti-Aircraft fire as it was turning to return to England. Of the 10 crew members on the Aircraft; five were killed and five ended up in a POW camp for the rest of the war. My cousin was buried in one of the public cemeteries near Bingen for the reminder of the war. His remains are now back in the US as of 1948. By the way, I have not seen or witnessed any of this expressed so called hatred toward Germans by Americans as witnessed by the author of this page. I have witnessed only respect for the German people as a whole. Everyone may not always agree with the present German government, and its policies, but most Americans fell kindred and friendship to the German people and do not hold present day Germans responsible for anything that occurred in their history. Of course, it is only important that Germans agree with their governmental policies anyway. Germans are only responsible for their own deeds as anyone else. My ancestry goes back to Germany and according to my DNA test Germans make up 40% of my ancestry. I had always thought that my main ancestry was English and Irish, but actually it is German. I consider myself an American first, and a citizen of the world second.

Germany is fantastic. I would love to see it again. When I was 13 years old I knew I want to see Germany and the Rhine no matter what it takes - and I did see some if it, but there is so much more. Absolutely stunning.

Thanks very much for this video and for your introductory remarks. I live in the USA and am disappointed that you have had negative comments from Americans since a majority of Americans trace their origin to German lands. Also, it is super that you have an excellent German accent in pronouncing the names of towns and cities.

I wish the video had just a little less panning and rotating aerial shots to enjoy the breathtaking landscape and the riverscape. Still, kudos to you for the effort and many thanks for tickling back some beautiful memories back to life!

What's up with this woman narrator's voice? She sounds like she's really high, like she took a nice blunt and smoked up right before reciting her narration. Very relaxing voice, but makes me a little sleepy. Otherwise, very lovely. I've been to Europe but I've still to go and see Germany...

Beautiful! As an American, I've bicycled on several holidays all over much of Germany, and nearly everywhere I found the German people welcoming and friendly. I have many fond memories of Germany, and I have made enduring friendships which I treasure. I can think of few things which bring more delight than the thought of planning my next visit to Germany.
