Is this trail as hard it looks in the video, or were you just not giving it much revs on some spots?
@dirtbikesam7 күн бұрын
its a tough trail and its really steep. Over revving can cause wheel spin so its a balance of clutch work with proper throttle control. We have a bunch of other videos on this same trail with different machines that do MUCH better than the these 125's in fact our 2024 KTM 150XCW has the fastest time up it so far.

I’m 13 so obviously not an adult but I was looking into upgrading from a 85cc to 125cc as it’s too small (I’m 5’8) I don’t do motocross or enduro or any type of racing but I love riding on extreme off road tracks on and around the farm, lots of hills and my favourite type of riding, mud running! Anyways I wanted to know if you had any recommendations, the bike needs to be durable and be able to take a beaten (probably gonna fall off a lot lol) would like it too have a liquid cooled engine and preferably electric start but isn’t a must. Power isn’t really an issue, doesn’t need a lot since I’m not racing but enough to get over hills with ease. Also I won’t really be doing any single tracks.

so a KTM 125XC or YZ125X might be the best option for you.

I was thinking about getting the CRF250F and upgrading the suspension for clearance and control, but that would cost a good bit of money. Would it be smarter just to get a CRF250R since it already has the better suspension? This is for trail riding in the desert. (6'3" - 210) Thanks!
@dirtbikesam17 күн бұрын
Yeah the cost of upgrading the suspension in the CRF250F isn’t worth it for sure. The Honda CRF250R is a motocross bike and not all that great at single track. The CRF250RX is better but not much. I would recommend the YZ250FX, WR250, or KTM250XCF if you want to stick with 4strokes

I just received mine a couple days ago and assembled it last evening. Solo!! Can I say "Heavy" for this old 68 year old arthritic Army (Ret.) Vet?!! But it is solid and done. One thing that really intrigued me and I LOVED about watching your video is when you installed the rack onto your hitch: by having it in two parts!! First you installed the assembly that actually attached to the hitch, and THEN you slid on and latched in the basket assembly that holds the bike (in my case an 85 lb. full-size eBike). Definitely makes it simple. It was one of those ..."Now why didn't I think of that; I am so glad I watched this video!!" ... moments. Thanks for a great instructional.
