My first flight ever in an airplane was in a 2-tone green '54 Tri-Pacer, that Dad borrowed in Oct '55 to fly the 4 of us down here to Phila, Miss. to visit his kinfolks. Dad then flew aTwin Beech D-18 for Doubleday Publishing out of NYC/LaGuardia. Only vacation time available was in October, so we were pulled out of grade school for a week or so. Was an exhilarating experience for me to fly in that little "paper plane!" Had the 135hp Lycoming O-290, was slow, but got us here. I now reside just north of the old cow pasture Dad was able to get the little plane in and out of, giving rides during our stay here. We lived in Long Island then. Can't recall the regist. no, had a Narco "stuper-Homer" ADF receiver in it. It reeked of 87oct AvGas when close to full. Dad switched tanks as we flew. Just a great experience that was!!##

Where is the second part to this? Inside preflight/start/taxi/run up? Also maybe talk a little more about the fabric wings?

This was a walk around pre-flight. I did attempt a pre-flight takeoff video but it was very loud in the cockpit which drowned out my voice. I performed this for a local 4H chapter who had members that showed interest in aviation and wanted to show the preperation involved in flight.
