I thought the ceremony was very interesting. I was surprised at how involved it was, but certainly did not find the video lengthy or boring. I enjoy learning about things in far off parts of the world that I will never get to see. Glad you and the family are doing well. The new bike is really sharp, that shade of blue is gorgeous and the black trim looks very tasteful compared to cheesy imitation chrome. Sorry I didn't get to watch this sooner, I have been very busy lately helping out one of my granddaughters so not getting much screen time. Thank you and looking forward to the next one...

Everything here in Thailand is going great and if you are ever in this region of the world, I would like you to be my guest for a tour of Chiang Mai and some of the best food in the world. Amazing trip! Boracay is a small island but has 17 beaches within the perimeter of Boracay, White Beach is the only touristy area for an obvious reasons, you can explore private beaches of luxurious hotels and resorts like Shangrila, Crimson, The Lind , The Belmont, New Coast, The golf course of Fairways and Blue Water, the serene beach of Puka shell beach, The kite surfing beach of Bulabog, Tambisaan Diniwid beach. Boracay White Beach was voted no. 1 White Sand Beach in the World 2024 as surveyed by British CabinZero, check it out

Awesome room. This is obviously a tourist area but I see a fair bit of the everyday locals world mixed in, I really enjoy studying the details of both. Sunset was fabulous, tricycle looked miserable (driver has to get the stiff neck and sore shoulders like I used to get leaning forward if I sat at a bar too long). Obscured windshield looked really sketchy for maneuvering through crowded streets filled with pedestrians too! Enjoyed watching, thanks for posting...

Another interesting video. I see that Holland America has now added Boracay to a few of their cruise itineraries. The only stop in the Philippines used to be Manila which has a deep water cruise dock. The stop in Boracay is what they call a "Tender" stop. That means the ship anchors off the coast of the island, and the small tender boats are lowered to take the passengers to shore. I bet the tenders come into that same small port on Boracay where the speedboat dropped you off. The stops in Manila and Puerto Princesa are not tender stops, so there must be a deepwater cruise port in Puerto Princesa now.

Holland America is a wonderful line. I have been from San Francisco to Miami on the Rotterdam and from Miami to Rome on the Eurodam. I have always disliked ports of call that require tender service but the cool thing about tender service usually means a more remote and less populated port of call. We decided to bypass Puerto Princesa and might return to explore the underwater river system. Hope your yellow CT is coming along perfectly. Take care Vaughn.

@@danielpredsox I have cruised into Laem Chabang a couple of times, and even if the stop is overnight, it is impossible to get to Chiang Mai and back to the ship in time for the sail away. One time, I asked Holland America if I could just get off at Laem Chabang and skip the next few stops and catch up in Singapore, and they said no, not permitted. I didn't know about Cub Houses back in the day, and so didn't realize that the Chonburi Cub House was so close to the port. The yellow CT is now a yellow "Military Campster" including the the full Kitaco camo stickers.. LOL. I videoed the whole 6 hour process, and now am in the process of editing 6 hours of video down to a less than a two hour KZfaq video. The editing is straining the capacity of my PC. If I don't have a system crash or other disaster, I hope to post the video in a few days. I also think a red Dax e might show up at the house this coming week. I I understand the tracking report, it came into Long Beach, and now is in a truck in Atlanta, heading this way.

Hello Mark. It is very true regarding hotel price comparisons with the US. It somehow makes me feel better when I check prices in the Santa Rosa/Petaluma area of San Francisco where I last lived. A 1* Motel 6 off of Highway 101 in Petaluma with a negative rating sells for the same price as this property. I miss doing the CT videos as this travel stuff is fun for my brother and sister to watch but not the initial customer base that grew my channel. Robert didn't like that I wanted to check in with my wife Keti at some points throughout our jungle and mountain trips and kicked me out of Eddies CT group. That is another story in itself as I have no respect for him at all in the way he handled the situation. Karma will catch up to him soon. At any rate, I will continue to post whatever travel experiences that I encounter for the sole reason of my brother and sisters' ability to check it out. Any other people that watch and enjoy, I am Ex tactic.

Another great hotel review! I enjoy them all. I don't think there is anything like that hotel outside of perhaps Dubai, certainly not in Florida.. LOL.. It reminded me a bit of the Icon Siam Mall in Bangkok with multi-story artwork. I don't think you can find a 3 star hotel anywhere in this county (Citrus). Plantation Resort in Crystal River may be a 3 star, as it claims to be. I think the best chance for a 3 start hotel in the country would be in Crystal River. When I do a search for 5 star hotels in Florida, most of them turn out to be 4 stars. Search used to work before it got taken over by ad revenue. You need to do a review of the Holiday Inn Express in Inverness, Florida, to see if it's 2.5 rating is accurate. I didn't see Govinda in this video. I don't think three on a CT125 would pass muster in Florida, but you and Keti could ride a CT or a Super Cub together, while Govinda follows behind on the Dax e. E-bikes in Florida can be ridden by riders of any age, and with no drivers licenses. The only requirement is under age 16 you have to wear a helmet.

Its amazing Vaughn, some of these 4 and five star properties we have the pleasure to experience are the same price as a Motel 6 (customer satisfaction rating of 1) off Highway 101 in Petaluma California. It is incredible what the dollar can get here in Southeast Asia vs. the USA. when and if we get to Florida, you can guarantee that I will allot a couple days to spend in your neck of the woods. Govinda and I would love to see your museum of minibikes (so would Keti). In the 90's I worked at The Boca Raton Resort and Club for 7 years. It was a five-star five diamond property. It since has lost that credential. This was the first high end resort that I had the pleasure of working for and learning techniques from. After that was the Ritz Carlton in Maui, the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix and several others in between. I miss the business but am much happier here in Thailand living the dream with Keti and Govinda.

@@danielpredsox Daniel, That is a good idea to visit Sanibel Island, and I will try to do it. In the winter of 1965-1966, I lived in a college dorm in Coral Gables. One of the men on my floor had heard of Sanibel Island and said we needed to see it. It was my understanding that at the time, there were no hotels on the island, and not much in the way of shops or residences. When I research the island today, I see that that was not true, with the oldest hotel on the island being more than 60 years old at the time. The causeway to the island was built in 1963, so in 1965, the island was still pretty much undiscovered. I was also under the mis-impression that commercial development was not permitted on the island and that it was a nature preserve. In any event, two of us rode to Sanibel and back over the Tamiami Trail, my first time on the Trail and also my only trip to Sanibel. I think it was just a weekend one-day trip over and back, and we spent the day walking the south-facing beach collecting shells, and other marine artifacts. We either thought there were no hotels there, or more likely, we couldn't afford one in those days. When I do the math, I think it has been almost 59 years since I was last there. I do need to make a return trip to see it now.

Great questions. Last year while visiting friends in San Francisco, Keti and I took a trip to Angels Camp and Murphys California for a few days. We stayed at a place called Woldmark in Angels Camp. It was part of a timeshare thing, so we decided to have the free breakfast and listen to what they had to say for an hour. As a result, I declined the $50 Amazon gift card and went with the one-week voucher to stay at any property associated with this organization. Well, we live in Chiang Mai and the only property listed in Vietnam was the Carinae. Keti had never been to Vietnam and there is a direct flight from Chiang Mai to Danang. So, we booked it. Both My Khe and My Beaches are to the north of Carinae. 16-18 minutes by motorbike. Basically, Carinae is almost dead center between the main beach areas of Danang and the town of Hoi An. Thanks for the question and watching.

Awesome observation. Most of the time, the camera does not accurately depict how steep certain trails or roads actually are. Most people do not pick up on the degree of difficulty, BUT you did. The Honda CTs would have traversed that area effortlessly. But as you pointed out, a scooter with 12" tires and my wife Keti and son Govinda onboard with me made it a little more adventurous and the shifting weight loads did not really help stability. All in all, we had an incredible time travelling thru India and we were especially happy that we brought our own helmets this trip as rental helmets can be rather nasty. I've really enjoyed your travel videos. Before my trip to Thailand last year, all of my travels to Asia were by cruise ship, staying in one port for one day each. I spent perhaps four winters doing it, and saw perhaps two dozen sea ports in Japan, and three or four each in Korea, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and one in Cambodia. A few 28 day cruises may stop in Bangkok twice, two weeks apart, but they won't let you off and pick you up in two weeks, so it is impossible to get to Chiang Mai on a one day stop in Laem Chabang, Koi Samui, or Phuket. I visited the tourist sites there, because it didn't know about the Cub House in Koi Samui or Phuket, and when I went to Bangkok, I walked around and rode the public transportation for one day each time. The only memorable thing I can remember from Thailand from my cruising days was visiting the Thomson house in Bangkok. I took the bus to near there, walked to Thompson, spent a couple of hours walking around Bangkok and then took the bus back to Laem Chabang. I have taken many cruises between Singapore and Tokyo, but never between Singapore and Dubai, so I have never seen any of India, and that is a big gap in my travels. I did manage to spend three days in Rangoon (Yangon) in Myanmar, but that is the closest I got to India. India has a cruise port in Mormugao, about 25 miles from Goa, and another in Mumbai, both are popular as stops between Singapore and Dubai. They typically would also stop in Columba, Sri Lanka as well. Not sure I will be able to live long enough to see Goa, so I appreciate your video.

Congrats, I hope that you will be as happy with the purchase as I still am. There certainly are cheaper out there but I am a true believer in that you get what you pay for. Thanks for watching and enjoy your CT

I'm enjoying the whole travel series.. Govinda is becoming a man of the world, already visiting more countries than most of the adults in Florida.

Thanks for watching. The Old City Chiang Mai is a square mile surrounded by a moat. Outside the old city, Chiang Mai area spread vastly out in all directions. The most mountainous ateas of Chiang Mai are to the north and west. That is were we do most of our riding and exploring. Have a great day.
