I need advice so I've done all my prerequisite and received my AA in Heath Science. Which allows me to go for my BSN RN. BUT I was unaware that I had another option. In the past, before getting my AA in Health Science I took my state boards for my LVN which I failed and never retook it. but still have a chance to take now. If I go that route I will need to pass my LVN STATE BOARDS. then apply to an accelerate BSN RN program. I'm seriously stuck and don't know which path to take. I just need to take the LVN State Boards and pass it then I can go for Accerlerate BSN program or just apply for a BSN program and go that way? What would you do in my shoes?

Super helpful! Thank you so much! I’m going back to watch all your videos lol. I’ve been a nurse for 9 years and 5 of those years I work at an ambulatory surgery center and I worked along side/and assist CRNAs and anesthesiologists as an OR circulator. During this time I’ve been picking a lot of CRNAs brains about what they do and how to become one. I just applied for an ICU position to get my journey started. This video has been the most helpful resource ever! All the CRNAs I work with have been doing it for 10 plus years and now requirements are different. I’m extremely nervous and kind of intimidated but I know with God I can do all things and I will accomplish this goal. Thank you so much for sharing!

Hello. I’m currently a nurse. I have two bachelors degrees one in nursing and bachelor’s degree in science. My science classes such as organic chemistry and biochemistry were not that strong. I will like to apply to medical school. But I’m not 100% if I would make a strong candidate.

I’m so confused. I’m just realizing things have changed. I’m seeing we have to obtain a DNP for all crna’s. Not sure how true this is. I just finished my BSN and I’m not sure what to do next.

I’m in school to become a CRNA. This is my plan and I think it’s the quickest route! Pre req, ASN, work toward your BSN AND be a ICU nurse at the same time. Then CRNA school. That equals 7.5 years !

Try getting a Labor and Deliver PCT position or a Nurse internship in Labor and Deliver, or OR. I was told that you can meet some CRNAs there.

Sometimes, things are not meant to be. Same here, applied 3 schools, 3.6 GPA BSN, 4.0 GPA MSN, certified in CCRN, VA-BC, CRNI. Shadowed CRNA in the OR for two weeks, and I did not like their working environment. I am vascular nurse, doing procedures, not an NP, but been pulling yearly salary $250K. Thinking about CRNA again but I am getting that point of my nursing career where I am like, ehhh. Secret to being happy in life… love what you do, travel, and invest. With my stocks, I am close to retiring at age 55. Don’t chase the money, let it chase you or shall I say, put that bitch to work.

@ThriveCRNA Hi there 😊 don't know if you remember meet but you helped guide my patch in to ICU as a new grad 3 years ago. Since then I have done 1yr of neuro ICU, 2 years of trauma ICU and currently learning burns ICU in between trauma shifts. I graduated with my BSN in December. GPA 3.5, my goal was to apply to CRNA this year unfortunately I lost a family member and became severely ill for over 3months so the deadline is approaching rather quickly. So this year I plan to shadow a CRNA as well as study for the GRE and CCRN so that I can apply next year. I haven't been involved in the hospital leadership wise because of school. However, I did get sent to the state capital In D.C to represent my school which resulted in the school receiving 34.5 million dollars and I won the national district association for nurses award and scholarship. Are there anything else you would suggest to prepare me? What types of materials should I be studying in addition to prepare for CRNA interviews

tnx for the info. watching you from abroad and I graduated with a foreign BSN. I am struggling to pass NCLEX and move to USA. I am 37 y/o. Do you think that age could be an issue to acceptance for crna school by the time I reach over 40 to 45 y/o? Considering that it may take me a bit of time to build and boost my resume. Thank you.

Starting from scratch, wouldn’t it be 8-9 years. Even in the example you gave of 4 years BSN, 2 years ICU experience and 3 year of CRNA school, that’s 9 years so was there another factor making it 12?
@jayvaunh3 ай бұрын
I agree
@jayvaunh3 ай бұрын
I think that it was a mistake. But that is right. 4 years for a BSN (if traditional), 2 years ICU experience, 3 years CRNA school and 3 years CRNA school. So a total of 9 years.
