Hey, a fellow shuravi here (not a veteran just a reenactor). Since I see alot of people asking here for why there is something like Hava Nagila at the end played. Let me translate the text so I can explain it better. -TRANSLATION- As in our district Chakvardak, Among women there's noise and chaos, From Kabul, to us came a squad, Under the codename "Kaskad." Yatagan - Afghan sharp and short sabre sword. -CONCLUSION- After the arrival of a squad named „Kaskad“ a muslim woman was curious and watched the soldiers. She saw a blonde, blue eyed jewish soldier. (Explains the Hava Nagila hear-a-like at the end.) She wanted to have a sex with the soldier but he refused due to his commander being strict and promised her after the war he will meet her again to have sex with her. When the „Kaskad“ squad returned back there is no story telling how it ended, but due to the muslim woman asking where is the soldier I think the reason for him not arriving is due to him being KIA. PS: Sorry for making it long. If you are not reading this all then yeah. SONG IS ABOUT A MUSLIM WOMAN AND A SOVIET JEWISH SOLDIER HAVING SOME KIND OF AFFAIR BETWEEN THEM. THAT IS WHY THERE IS HAVA NAGILA AT THE END.

Очень-очень жаль погибших в этой страшной войне, не чём не винных людей, за какие-то интересы, каких-то людишек. Сколько жизней унесла это война, Бог знает больше, а мы ещё, не оправились, от этой страшной трагедии. Я лично знаю много матерей, которые ждут своих сыновей, и близких, и это боль, я разделяю с ними, при встрече, честно скажу эти эмоция, меня разрывает, сколько времени прошло, а мы ждём их возвращения домой. Какая невыносимая боль, боль матерей которые ждут своих, сыновей и близких родственников, дай Бог, чтоб ихние мечты з бились всегда. Actually to understand this why it is there you have to understand the song first. The song is about a muslim woman wanting to have some kind of romantic affair (yes, doing the dirty) with a jewish soviet soldier in Afghanistan. That is why is there hava nagila at the end played.
