I notice the sustain issue too. Looking at chat gpt the trem system may be the issue. I dont know myself. Was thinking it was the pickups personally.
@HavickFunk
@HavickFunk Ай бұрын
I have the same trem system in an ash body RG same specs but heavier which gives a better sustain. In my opinion, the string action should not be too low and the height of the pickups should be adjusted if it’s too high for optimal playability.

A shame there isn't an Ash/Jatoba option. The Ash is a better tonewood but I'm not a fan of Maple fretboards. I also usually don't like imitation Rosewood (I dislike Pau Ferro anyway and am skeptical of Laurel) but Jatoba may be the exception.

My suggestions : try the D'Addario NYXL strings. They are supposed to be a little brighter. As players we tend to focus a lot on the guitar parts while the amp, cab or multi effect unit are also highly responsible and can make a huge difference on the sound. Also adjust the height of of the pickups and lowering the bass side.

what is the differece between the j200ce a 500,00 and te j200 a 999,00 ? Epiphone than the price?? thanks and greets from the Netherlands
@HavickFunk
@HavickFunk Жыл бұрын
The biggest difference that affects the price is solid vs laminated wood. The J200 (999) is a full solid wood (top, back and sides) whereas the J200CE is solid top only but laminated back and sides.

Rex K 1 second ago I bought a grounded power supply, but it didn't help. The ground ends at the voltage regulator and doesn't reach the amp. I used a piece of automotive wire and wrapped it around the ground lug, plugged it in the wall, then connected the other end to the spark amp with an alligator clip. The amp is perfectly silent! No noise!. Even on high gain without any noise gate, no noise.

I am glad this method worked out for you. The ideal solution is to contact Positive Grid. By following their procedure, you should become eligible to receive a proper grounded power supply at no extra cost.

50 people seems to be a lot and outdoor means that you need projection as there are not enough walls to reflect the sound. I would not buy 2 x Bose S1 Pro. I’ll rather invest in Bose L1 Pro series. They have everything S1 Pro offers and even more.

Bose S1 pro = bluetooth speaker + guitar/microphone/instrument amplifier whereas Marshall Tufton = bluetooth speaker only. It really depends on your needs. If it’s just to stream music, any bluetooth speaker will do. Bose S1 pro is more of an amplifier than just a bluetooth speaker.

Check the input voltage rating at the back of your amp vs voltage supply of your socket. The power adaptor is already built in these amps. You cannot change the voltage input unless you are not using its dedicated power cable.

Hello everybody, I am looking for a studio amplifier (let's say small but powerful enough to enjoy.. keep in mind that I live in a apartment so I either go with a few W amplifier or one more powerful with the use of headphones). At the moment I am thinking about these: Fender Mustang 1 (has 20W) Fender Frontman 10G Fender Frontman 15G Vox Pathfinder 10 Fender Champion 20 Marshall MG10 Boss Katana Mini. Which one would you recommend, at the same price? Many thanks!!

In 2022, you need a decent amp with at least bluetooth technology & edit presets within its dedicated app. Save some money and get a Positive Grid Spark amp (not the mini). I have previously owned the Fender Mustang 1 but now upgraded to the GTX100.

I’ve got the 470AHM which is basically the same guitar as the 370(I think the only difference is the exact bridge but they both do the same thing). I definitely thought it was worth the extra $50 for the ash body though. Grew up with over 20 guitars in my house and my dad always said you can never go wrong with an ash body. In my experiences he’s been right

When all 3 channels volume knobs are at 12 or less, there should not be any noise. Past 12 or max volume, if instrument and/or microphone is connected, there is some background noise when not playing and is normal.

Ok, so here is my experience with this guitar, bearing in mind the 20/80 rule does exist (20% great/80 meh). Initial thoughts out of the box: it's big, it looks great, and it's loud and fairly balanced. It is probably missing some of that booming bottom end you expect from a jumbo, which is a shame but not unexpected given its cutaway shape. Grover tuners are great, the nut is cut correctly, action is low with no fret buzz. So my issues were as follows: a rattle when playing which emanated from the pickup control box, rough scratchy frets, a rough fretboard and misaligned string spacing due to the bridge saddle slots being in the wrong position. These things aren't ideal, but fixable especially given the relatively low price for a lot of guitar. My fixes, and these are super easy fixes: 1) Clean excess dust off of the fretboard and then gently sand it with super super fine sandpaper. 2) Clean and polish the frets using a fret rectangle and a fret polisher (using tools from a general guitar maintenance kit from any online seller.) 3) Oil the fretboard with any guitar oil, applying 3 coats at various intervals. This really brings out the wood grain and changes the fretboard from scratchy and pale to a smooth and darker finish 4) Gently sand down the bridge saddle and re-cut the slots with correct string spacing (again using sandpaper, nut files and the string action ruler which are all included in the same guitar maintenance pack described before.) These recommended fixes took less than 1 hour and less than $15 for the maintenance kit. Additional fixes, if you are so inclined include sending the guitar to your local guitar shop to fit a bone nut, a bone bridge saddle and bone/brass string pins. Shouldn't be too much money for those fixes. If you don't fancy that extra cost simply buy a set of Elixir acoustic strings (.11 or .12 gauge as it's a jumbo) for around $20 and enjoy what is a good, loud guitar that simply requires an hour or so of work out of the box.
