No there shouldn't be, you should be able to see what is behind it before you drill as you need to reach in there to place the nuts and washers on as well. Just be aware of the surroundings and you shouldn't have an issue.

Xpel doesn't do that I see it every day lmao. Xpel is basically no self healing. You wipe it with a microfiber and it's fucked permanently 😂😂 much better films out there. Xpel is just a brand name people want but bad product. Terrible ugly texture and very little healing ability
