And there will never be enough money to fund engineering and development of any updating, or replacement of that entire fleet! 😮

You are kidding. Right? How 40 years old planes will change the situation in this war? Europe gets rid off all rusty junk. All this planes were retired, half of them aren’t in flying condition. Ukraine got maybe a couple dozen own pilots who takes crash course to fly F-16. Who will fly the rest of western planes? You know some rich people in Russia put bounty on F-16? Who shoot dawn Viper gets 15 million rubles- $150000. For this money you can live forever in Russia. I bet Ukrainian pilots will bring those f-16 to Russia. Someone brought a tank

It was first deployed without machine guns as they thought missiles would be the end of dog fights. They quickly learned they were wrong.

It's slogan, "Follow the smoke and find the phantom 👻
@James-i6h21 күн бұрын
We called them dirty birds and in boot camp training on identifying aircraft, the first thing they showed on the F4 was a trail of black smoke. The B52 was a dirty bird.

Um yo dude!!?? It had no machine guns redendering it a lame duck close quarters, left hella smoke contrales making it physically visible everywhere.... ask any pow that flew em.
@LeopardTankEnthusiast21 күн бұрын
The phantom wasn’t sleek and aerodynamic as much as you think, the engines were just so good it pushed it over the sound barrier.

The fuel isn’t $135,000 an hour. That is the average cost of all the expenses to keep it flying. Crew pay, maintenance, fuel, support services, inspections average out to $135,000 a hour when summed together and average over the year.… still yikes. look at helicopters compared to airplanes they are expensive to operate.

And of course America needs these planes just in case the aliens attack. In the meantime America is the only advanced country without free healthcare! When your wife, children, mother or brother are dying because you cannot afford treatment you can look at photos of this overpriced irrelevant military ego trip!

And they can pay for them using the American taxpayers hard earned money, and while they are at it use what's left over for AIPAC to coerce US politicians for more war in the Middle East. Meanwhile our young vets come home with arms and legs missing all for Israel, and the forever wars they plan.
