Why is it assumed that this is a setting of Walter Scott’s poem and not the words to the traditional Latin prayer? Liszt set the Latin text many times but never (to my knowledge) Scott’s poem.

Indeed Frank Bridge is underplayed and underrated ! And that's a shame ! Here in France very few people would be able to say if Britten's teacher is a politician, a soccer player, a beer brewer or what not ... And that's another shame ! Thank you Plotin for uploading these beautiful and attractive pieces. I do appreciate. What a name you've chosen ! A Greek philosopher, and not the least of them ...

Some real gorgeousness here, No. 1 (0:00), No. 4 (5:58), No. 6 (9:07), No. 7 (11:48), No. 9 (18:12) and No. 11 (24:36) are instant hits for me. What a genius Lied-composer Robert Franz was! These songs are every bit as fantastic as those of Schubert and Schumann. Liszt had an ear for quality music for sure - and an unequalled ability to translate Lieder to piano solo. Beautiful interpretation from the great Valerie Tryon, as usual. Thank you for the upload!

Can only underscore comments made before me, what depth and intuitive, (and novel) cello writing. The dialogue between cello and piano compels the ear towards the cello entry and responding phrase. Very much as the ear tends towards a single vocal strand in an orchestral sea. Loved it.

bruh even at 30% even no matter how slow it is its still very difficult but next time just put the letter notes in it woukd be very easy

Its also a bit hard because if u want to do it fast u also have to do the right finger on the note but once u get the hang of it u only will need to practice playing it faster right?
