What is way more sad, is that US citizens always claim to have respect for veterans !!! Look at how many of those aer homeless !!! It does not matter what your views are on whatever war they were in, they served their country and what is their payback ?? Trying to survive living on the street. To me that is a very hypocritical way of supporting your veterans.

The system in America is built to keep you in work as long as possible. The famraceft companies are one huge conglomerate. They are connected to the government, which keeps prices a thousand times higher to keep you employed. About guns: You will never get rid of guns because America is actually run by a group of people who own companies like Retheon, Black Rock, and others that are connected to your "industrial complex" they manufacture weapons. These companies sponsor 90% of your politicians. Think about it, these companies earn about 900 billion a year. They earn 500 billion from America alone. The rest of the wars they cause around the world. You have a budget of 900 billion a year for defense. Defense from whom? No one cares about wars, everyone cares about making money and doing well. But American brains are so brainwashed that they believe everything the government sells them. They let them know that Russia or China are bad, and the Americans swallow the bait like hungry sharks.

The old buildings in Copenhagen are very old. They are from that time. Where you had a shared toilet in the backyard and where you took a shower in the kitchen. Later, the small room (the food storage room) was converted into a bathroom and toilet. Therefore, they are very small. I love Copenhagen.

When it comes to riding bicycles, look at Dutch street design. Than look at the productivity, the results both positive and negative on the promotion of bike infrastracture, accidents both fatal and non fatal, economic growth/decline due to this infrastructure, zoning laws etc. Combine all of those factors, than tell me which design is the better one. Heidi, gas is expensive ?? Are you joking ??? Compare the Dutch price versus the US price, and tell me again it is expensive. Currently the price is around 2.10 USD per liter, and a gallon is almost 3.8 liter (3.785 liter). Which roughly translates to 7.95 USD a gallon.

Hi Heidi, Very funny. I communicate through smoke signals, but I am Dutch. More cheerfull than the How America fucked you" item. The Canadiënne was hilarious. "It snows in Islam"😊😂🤣The Dutch have their stupidoos as well, thank God. They are here for our entertainment. Yeah, and then they tell it on the internet, influencing others, ect, ect. More fun for us.🤣 Greetz from The Netherlands.🤘🤘for the music.

Hi Heidi, I loved your comment. I will, ofcourse, subscibe. I also like to see the one asking the questions appear themself. Sometimes tears come to my eyes, hearing how some things are in America. The fear of guns, getting ill in this insane system. Some of them seem traumatised. Love, care and Greetz from Menno,The Netherlands. (don't get sick, please)

Heating is both a lot more necessary and expensive in the Netherlands. This is why comparing the Netherlands at 52-53 latitude and Florida with Miami at 27 degrees is a bit ludicrous. The Netherlands transposed on the Northern America continent would be in Canada, not the US, let alone the southern most states.

The Dutch are nowadays more interested in e-bikes. I guess Americans too. That may change the perspective in the USA too.

We also have direct transportation at the Barcelona airport. You can directly go into the train from the airport after landing, or take a bus as well. Direct public transportation should be a mandatory on any airport around the world if possible, I don't see the point in building all infrastructure around the car.

The USA uses 25% off worlds energy. Together with China are you the biggest poluters in the world and for the biggest part responsable for climate change and rising sealevels. The USA has ask the Dutch to help them to protect cities like new orleans, miami, atlanta and new york to protect them against rising sealevels ( check dutch dialogs) Trump denies climatchange and has pult the US out off the Parisagrement and made the USA a threat for the Netherlands. Nice Friends. Maybe the USA should pay the Netherlands to defend itself or we should stop deliver computerchip machines to the USA and China

The problem mentioned in Prague is not that simple. Those who propose no cars are NOT willing to build parking houses at the edges of city, near subway. But people from outside the city coming to Prague to work do need park somewhere. Also when it comes to bike lanes, its a mess. There are two types of them. One is strictly for bikes, second is bike corridor, but if you have wide vehicle like bus, truck etc... They cant fit in the remaining bit of road, so they are partly in the bike corridor. Which then makes people using bicycles mad at them... Also quite often there are bike lanes on the road NEXT to dedicated bike roads (often its sidewalk split into two parts, one for walking, one for bikes) And the worst is that it took a lot of money to build some bike roads, but then they are not used. And sadly there is no requirement for cyclists to use them as priority.

And the situation at 10:00 , that road was build during communist leadership here, so it doesnt have much to do with conservatives... That 6 lanes road was built when they did built a subway underneath. Sadly they did lead the busy road through city centre and not make decent city circle to go around

Obviously this is a generalization. In Nijmegen, a city with a population of 190.000 people we have the American system of transport. With unfinished and fewer bicycle lanes, plenty of potholes, 9 lanes of asphalt for cars when only 4 are needed and bike lanes only separated from cars doing 30mph by a coat of paint. It sucks to live here, but at least everyone agrees. That's why the price of a low budget home is like 100k cheaper here than the place I'm from. I'm originally from a slightly smaller city as well. Just shows how important getting around in the Netherlands is.

The size of a country argument is completely irrelevant to be honest. We dont cycle from one side of the country all the way to the other side, we use it to get to school, work, to do shopping, go out with friends etc, all things that - a lot of the time - you can do within a reasonable distance of your home. It all depends on how your cities are designed. For the Netherlands bike paths are given as much a direct route as possible, while cars are made to drive the long way around. In contrast in the US, even if you need to go get something trivial like a bottle of milk from the nearest convenience store, you're already forced to go by car because thats the only option the civil engineers and urban planners have given you.

I'm sure it wasn't politicians listening that changed things, it was activists who became political and even became politicians themselves that created the conditions for change. Nearly every benefit in working and living conditions that 'the people' gain is hard fought for over decades and even centuries. There is hardly ever a kindly benevolent government that does this without being elected with that in mind.

Americans that say ''thats not what we want'' are simply oblivious to the rest of the world. They've been told their entire life the US is the greatest country on planet earth so when there is a bit of criticism they feel offended. They simply don't know better, so why not stick with what ''works''. Also it's hard to point out what makes everyday life kinda awfull in the US. Infrastructure plays a major role in that but people fail to notice its effects because they've never thought about it and never had better infra.

In the UK less academic pupils were put into lower educational facilities. This gave the county their workers for the mines, factories, street cleaners etc. which emphasized the class divisions. Cannot take my eyes off your engagement ring. It is beautiful.

Few years back I got a blood infection that escalated to others. Forcing me to be hospitalized for 3 months. Had to get antibiotics, 2 different ones 8 times a day. And painkillers, the strong ones, also 8 times a day, and during the stay, got 4 surgeries. Whith that I was out of work, during and afterwards during recovery. My kommune / Municipality send me a form that I fill with information and doctors documents confirming my condition. I got my rent, utilies, payed every month and potential lost income as I was not able to work covered and would get every 14 days, put into my account money. Afterwards the traveling nuses would come to my home to se and change my if needed my plaster for wounds, man help with house word, was arrange as I was not able to do all by my self. These things I did not have yo back when I was declared 100% healthy. Never got bills for all the care I got during my sick leave, hospitalization.

This is exactly the reason why the GOP and especially the MAGA cult are so keen on "deregulation", not just for the food industry but for almost everything. No regulations means greater risk for the consumer - and greater profit for the industry and the stockholders. If you want to understand something, follow the money. Another trick is to defund the institutions that controls ex food regulations. The fewer controllers the less risk for the industry. If the industry paid tax instead of bribing politicians, the money could do so much good.
