Great tips for DIY and for those not too familiar with it. Unfortunately that tool won't work for large rooms as nothing to rest against.

I used it in my living room and along as you have the wood slightly longer it holds every time.

@@primalrenovations7427 From the video and logically speaking, the only way to rest the T-bar is on the wall. If you've got a room 6*6m or so, this wouldn't really work as it would need a wall to rest on. Unless I'm missing something...

Do we need to use that strip of wood in the beginning or can we do without it? 🤔
@primalrenovations7427Ай бұрын
You could possibly use some brackets but I would use the wood it gives more support and makes it's all a lot stronger.

Something i only noticed yesterday buying 2nd hand door for office at work, no drip shelf at the bottom. I notice this door as ali strip. Come to think the two doors i fitted on my previous home had no drip shelf. Just checked some old photos, they haven't. Never noticed before. Not need due to porch.

Whoops hadn't finished. I was just about to say it was so much cheaper to remedy than a damp patch. (I meant to say as well that we had checked and there were no leaks coming from our neighbours' property) .

Hi, great videos Mike many thanks. We had a problem with a what looked like a very similar wet patch in the same place on our living room wall adjoining our neighbors living room wall. As we had no leaks coming from our side we assumed that the link must be coming from our neighbors side of the property. We could see no signs or reasons for rising damp. When a damp specialist visited the property he explained to to us that the wet patch on the wall was actually caused from salts that were trapped in the wall due old fireplaces having been there many moons ago. Apparently this is a known phenomena. We were chuffed,

No just the main drain with each house getting it's own drain pipe so not sharing pipes.
