Dale Chihuly is an icon of glass art. One of the greatest artists from the good old U.S.A. Saw his show in Baltimore, Md., and the gallery show in St. Petersburg Fl., -mindblowing

There is a beautiful and informative book on native American glass artists titled "Fusing Traditions - Transformations in Glass by Native American Artists." In recent years, a group of talented native American artists have selected glass as a medium for their creative expression. This handsome publication is Illustrated with beautiful, full page color plates and informative essays. Native American artists have turned inward, using the studio art methods initially implemented by the American Studio Glass Movement to create works of art inspired by objects of use and ritual to Native Americans. The Chihuly Gardens in Seattle are beyond easy description. They seem to have taken vivid dreams and turned them into glass art. It looks alien, it looks amazing. After seeing the gardens in Seattle, I determined to create a small example of those gardens in my own home. I found a former Chihuly student who created several pieces of art for me. With great lighting, I now have the start on my own glass garden. Go to Seattle, see for yourself.

His work is incredible. I am so lucky that I go to a school that has an amazing glass studio and I started a couple of weeks ago. I make pumpkins and animals and I hope to become a professional, it’s amazingly fun and magnificent
