That’s so funny..I was totally expecting a German shepherd or Malinois..lol..my GS turned One year yesterday, day before I was trying to get cooking done and I left him in the back yard, he defeated a wire twist on the top and a chain with an unlocked lock on the fence gate, he took a walkabout. But..instead of running far away, he went maybe 1 or 200 meters down the street and to the gate of his 2 Labrador retriever friends, looking to play. My neighbor brought him back..I was so freaked out..he’s also figured out how to open a baby gate between my living room where I generally interact with him and the rest of the house. He’s too smart! After several sessions in town with a policeman trainer We did a couple sessions with Sonja Nordstrom, but I’m not sure I’m going to continue in formal training, he seems to be losing interest in all of it, his basic obedience is good, now I need to tighten down on a looser heel walk since he’s 1.

I didn’t know they had different coat colors..I thought that one was wearing boots at first! It’s way too hot in the summer here in Utah for them, they’d love our snow, but not the 105+F summers..(40.6C). To be fair that’s usually about 2-5 weeks of really extreme heat, the rest is hot but manageable. This will be my GS (West German Show) first summer as an adult, he loves the snow, loves any tall, wet, cold grass he can find on walks..I don’t think even he will like it when it’s really hot..he also is a freak for water, he learned the water toy they step on and it sprays within about thirty seconds..he goes insane if I try to water stuff, biting at the stream..he loves to meet new people, sweetest disposition and a typical mischievous streak..

Yes, the 3rd one has a different coat. Luckily in Ireland it is not too hot in the summer, but still, for their coat, they feel perfect when it is colder. Thank you for your comment!😇

We got Blue from a family that couldn't keep him due to some unforeseen circumstances, and as the family had imported him he had ears cropped already. This has nothing to do with us as we love every dog the way they are. We do not discriminate based on appearance.
