She is always brilliant. Im not usually the first person to believe people when they say theyre doing the things she’s doing. I mostly dont. But her… i feel like i can feel her feeling her way into these places. Maybe im an idiot, but i just fully believe her. And even if i did not, she’s so brilliant in the way she communicates to humans about ourselves that it becomes a moot point in the end whether or not she truly spoke to shark consciousness. Which, again, i just believe her.

This first time I came across Dean was seeing his film about ayahuasca back in 2002, thankfully had the pleasure of meeting Dean about 3 years later and have appreciated his considerable significant contributions to community over the last few decades. This all makes so much sense. Since I am highly spiritual I can easily understand the energetic signature she is speaking of. But also, my thought went to how much “over-fishing” we as a human species do in the ocean. No wonder the sharks have to come closer to shore to find food. It’s sad really. We shouldn’t be fearful, but concerned as to what we are doing to our oceans.

This is so fascinating. I went 'swimming with sharks' off the coast of Ecuador many years ago, and I was not scared...it was Hammerhead and Galapagos sharks, and I was told they were no real danger, and I was just in awe seeing them swimming underneath me. There was a moment when one shark started to swim up towards me, and I started to feel some fear. But I realised that the shark was just doing its own shark thing!

As a fish biologist i can say what she is describing (in terms of both the level of detail and the specific points), is advanced to the point it would be very difficult to make up For example she is discussing a density dependent shift in behavior…. This is actually a real thing and can be seen in other species such as the grasshopper/ locusts. Which is the same animal but experiences a strong behavior shift at high densities making them more aggressive. I would like to run some research studies on this lady’s “readings” or whatever to verify (or not) the information and see what kind of novel restoration approaches could come out of it.

The balance of naturre does not miss the tyrannosaur and it would not miss the white shark any more than that.

Yes, it is an interesting point of view from a perspective that does not contemplate the course of Human History but rather considers that we are all equal good and kind beings at the mercy of a few with a lot of money and power. It is a very "New Age" vision, which I knew how to embrace in my youth but when I began to live in the real world, working for a salary, paying taxes and living with so much diversity and social and cultural variability, it remained what it is: a very naive conspiratorial vision, which has nothing to do with or applies to the majority of the billions of inhabitants in an increasingly smaller and disputed territory. I do choose sides even though none of them are perfect or ideal, but there are less bad and worse ones... and I have no doubts about it! As the great Sir Karl Popper once said: "democracy is not perfect but it is perfectible." Autocracies do not.

She's right. Approaching any animal you cannot be in a fear state. You'll be attacked in many occasions because of few reasons but the main one is that they didn't have pleasant encounters with humans. If you want to ,,connect,, with them be in a ,,flow,, state.
