Tell them David about the side effects of the wishes that they can be cursed to to conjur for casting them if not worded correctly. If you must use wish, use it wisely and be very careful exactly how you word your isms, as in be careful for what you wish. I casted a real ninth level wish spell or made a real wish to be a beautiful young female forever and have immortality. The grantor granted my wish as expected and everything went as it should be except I got a lot more than I bargained for was additional side effects that I didn’t ask for. I went from being an adult woman to something a lot more younger looking, and there were other effects in it too. Now I look like something more of a young anime girl. I was forced by the grant under contract was an incubator to be Paul and live out my existence and immortality as an Anime Magical Teen Girl Goddess from Puella Magi Madoka Magica multi dimension. Now I must suffer those consequences pain and live like this. It has even affected the change. It looks on my body in tune to look like one of them. If you think you can call the Disney company, customer service center and get a refund back from defective wishes wishes that one astray or wrong you can forget it. There are no refunds and I’m doing the effects of said wishes. 😭😭😭😭

what about oath spells? do those just turn to paladine spells, to choose from all paladine spells you can pick? or do they appar nex tto the picked spells, on the list everyday?

I’d suggest using the Harengon Race to build this subclass, but it’s my opinion that it’d be thematic enough to take the “Chef” feat. Since you have proficiency in Brewery tools, you could use this feat to create exotic drinks and ales.

I gotta disagree with Conquest being bottom tier. I think it beats out both the Glory and Crown subclasses. Also Watcher's will is one of the best channel divinities especially for Watcher's flavor of going against extra planar beings, who have abilities that target those saves.

Do you have to start as a Regular Paladin and then Turn into a Paladin Oath of Vengeance? Or can you start as a level 1 oath of Vengeance?

BTW, if you ever take the Resilient feat, I'd put the +1 into Constitution so that you would be proficient in Constitution saving throws so that you'll be able to make better concentration checks!!

I’m giving one my players a variation that is somewhat cursed 50% chance that it is a useless version of the item 😂 (for instance a sack could instead be a thin plastic Walmart sack)

Hey Richard, just thought of another feat for a monk: Fighting Initiate!! Playing a variant human, take this feat at level 1 and take the Unarmed Fighting style and you're dealing a d8 plus your Dex modifier AT LEVEL 1!!!!! Then, once you reach level 11(when your unarmed strikes become a d8 anyway), you can change it to the Defense fighting style and get a +1 to your AC. Never a bad thing IMHO!!

Agree with all your points 100%. I have played many chaotic neutral characters none of whom were jerks and many weren't rogues either, typically warlocks, sorcerers or fighters.

One of my favorite subclasses of barbarian(also the Zealot)!! Absolutely taking the bear at level 3 for resistance to everything except psychic damage(YES PLEASE!!)!! At level 6, I'd probably take the tiger because more skill proficiencies means more better!! Then, at level 14, I'd take the wolf so that I can knock a creature prone with no saving throw involved!!

One of my first characters I made was a Berserker barbarian!! Thankfully, I had a forgiving DM(my nephew) because he never enforced the exhaustion rules and I almost certainly would have been killed off by mere exhaustion!! If I were to ever play one again, I would take GWM at level 4 and then the Fighting Initiate feat at level 8 so that I could get the Great Weapon fighting style so that I could reroll those pesky 1s and 2s!! All due respect, I'll never play a Berserker ever again simply because of the Frenzy ability!!

I think some honorable mentions are Chill Touch, Mind Sliver and Shocking Grasp!! The first one doesn't allow healing, the second one uses an INT save and a d4 debuff to the next saving throw, and the last one gives advantage on your attack rolls if the target wears metal armor, and it can't take reactions either!! Thoughts on these cantrips?

Hey Richard, I believe that you should have, at least, given some honorable mention spells to consider per level. Examples include Toll The Dead, Bless(staple), Aid, Spiritual Weapon, Spirit Guardians, Greater Restoration, Holy Weapon, Heal, Heroes Feast, Regenerate, Power Word: Heal among others!!

Hey Richard, I'm kinda surprised that you didn't even bother mentioning the Crusher feat!! Think about it. The majority of damage dealt by monks is bludgeoning damage!! Why not augment that part of the character? Add +1 to Con and move creatures back 5 feet and when you crit with a bludgeoning attack, attacks against that creature have advantage until the end of your next turn!! Thoughts?

I was today years old when I first watched this video…algorithm things. Also - a Tabaxi can use its own claws to make “Unarmed Attacks”. This, combined with the Slasher feat, makes it a great candidate for the Open Hand subclass. Knocking critters prone AND imposing a -10’ on their movement is very effective.

This replaces “roses and thorns” but gives no opportunity for constructive criticism, don’t like it

I've been working on optimizing a Cavalier/Swashbuckler build, inspired by a matador concept. It's one of the few characters I've made that gets actual use out of the Dual Wielder feat, so that's fun.

This is not a problem with chaotic neutral, but its such a personal pet peeve when players use chaotic neutral to do things very explicity chaotic evil like torture people or attempt to bring about the ruin of a civilization.

High Elves make great War Domain Clerics; it is the cheapest way to get the Booming Blade cantrip. Since Clerics never get extra attacks, Booming Blade or Green Flame Blade are the best way to scale your melee damage. Well, you do get some extra attacks from War Priest, but you are going to run out very fast.

I like the idea of them being extremely petty. Like if someone takes a penny they pickpocket a oenny and out it back.

I would also argue chaotic neutral would be the only one that goes along with chatic evil, as long as it serves their own end game.

My only current Paladin is the Vengeance Paladin ( Dragonborn ). So far...Love him! His backstory is that he was once a follower of Tiamat. and She casted him out. And told him that he will never be a true dragon. So, when that happened; he vowed Vengeance on Tiamat. I would LOVE to play an OB; but, I play at a place that goes by Adventurers League rules. Which makes the Oathbreaker illegal.

I’m playing a Ranger for my next campaign, a gloom stalker focused on dual wielding! So far one of the most fun classes to build by far!

Storm herald just makes me kinda sad because it's flavor and idea are GREAT but it's midle ability just tanks the ability of the class to express it's self while also putting massive amounts of weight on the starting auras that they just can't hold. I think it would make a HUGE difference to the class if they merged the middle 2 abilities, letting us get another ability. It would let you solidify a role for each storm wich ocean DESPITELY needs.... Honestly ocean aura needs something else in general like making the bolt work like shocking grasp or something. Focus it in on battle field manipulation. Id also let you swap storm on long rest.
