Too bad the criminals have made it unsafe most of the time. I used to run for exercise on week days, and really enjoyed it. Lately there have been a number of shootings and assaults in the area. Sad.

It's been years since I've been to the Shades! I don't know why Turkey Run is so much more popular. We regularly drive by the Shades to get to Turkey Run... Next time we are going to the Shades!

Hi there. I'm Tonda from Ohio, and I just watched a video of yours from 7 Months ago and really enjoyed it. I think it was when you guys camped at Ohio State Fairground campground. I subscribed to your channel and decided to watch a recent video, bur there's no recent videos. I did watch this one saying your mother was not well. I'm so sorry. I'll pray she's doing ok, as well as you two. It's rather strange to do this video in January about skirting the RV, but then no videos since then. Not even any remarks as to why. I pray no family tragedy has occurred. I'm looking forward to more videos, please? Thanks.

Watched your “chock slide-out”! Have just experienced the same thing - twice!!! Trailer needed a little lift on one side. We use Anderson leveler. We also use the heavy duty solid chocks. However, we were on freshly layer larger sized gravel. Chocked kicked out! We reviewed and reset. Same result! Third time a charm as I placed a think rubber mat under tires, chocks and leveler. Then my wife and I took a potty break and had a couple of “beers”. 😁First, time in 40 years…

I have one in my travel trailer. It moves a lot of air but for it to work most efferently a window needs to be opened to let air in. I also use it when traveling on dusty roads. I set it to suck air air in and pressurize the trailer to reduce the amount of dust that comes into the trailer. I am still looking for an automotive filter to put in the fan to even reduce dust even more.

Harbor Freight for large rubber chocks. Back when I used the yellow plastic ones, I crushed more than one before switching to heavy duty rubber chocks.

Personally, I've looked into Calyx but ultimately decided to go with HomeFi instead and it has worked great for me, it has fast connection speeds, is reliable and affordable too! I would recommend trying them out.

We've been in our travel traler for 3 years now. We lived in southern Alabama for most of it. Now we are going to stay in Kansas and i am looking for ideas to skirt the trailer. Last year it got down to -15 in Kansas. I'm hoping skirting it will be enough. I do like how you painted it and went around the slide.

Nice rig! I have a Forest river vibe 34xl I full time in and have been very happy with it. I have had to do a few maintenance items and slight upgrades I've done but I expected that with any rv. As far as leaks go I have had great luck using Lexel clear silicone around outside outlets and windows. I use it a lot in construction and it seems to hold up to the elements well. Btw, I have the same shower door and I was skeptical at first but it works very well! I do leave it pulled out to dry a bit after showers 😉

Do not purchase any Forrest River products. I purchased a 2022 Sand Piper and it is junk. I have had 11 leaks the first time and more leaks after it came out of the RV shop. My refrigerator went out and took over 2 months for Forrest River to send a new one. My awning collapsed for no reason. Now I am having electrical issues with outlets not working! In my opinion Forrest River should have a class action law suit for subpar quality. Do not end up like me with an expensive piece of junk! Do your homework before purchasing Forrest River!

I have replaced our plastic chocks with solid rubber ones. They do fail also. The scissor style are also great when the wheels are on cribbing. We keep both with us.

Did you guys need to use a jumper stud or bolt where your batteries were at originally? This way your power tongue jack has a place to plug into or did you just extend the power tongue jack cables? Also, for the framing around your batteries. Did you use just plane ole wood screws? How good of a hold did they have on your flooring? I noticed you used a ratchet tie down connected to the wood around the batteries.

I used to put a single 60watt light bulb in cold and freezing weather under my camper as well as the skirt. Never froze unless you have a place where the wind can get in. Give the light bulb trick a try. ... let me know if it works for you. 😊
