Why the first row into that back loop?? I don't get it, well, other than to make it really difficult. I'm using a 4.5 hook and after I've got made a chain of 41 and do the first single crochet in the back loop, which took me several attempts, when I go for the second loop is now so tight I couldn't get the nose of my hook under it at all, looking at you doing that first row your hook just slipped under each back loop. It's so, so madding. So is there some reason that makes it important to do it that way???
