Good to see those 2 ALC42 s but when oh when will we see some on both Zephrs and/ or SouthWest Chief? Then on Sunset Limited/ Texas Eagle? When they were secured to run less pollution and less fuel, we do not see any except Empire Builder on long distance runs. What is Amtrak's wisdom in this Thanks Marne for video.

Good one. That train did some squealing didn't it?

The one bag the lady had on her right side didn't help as it seemed to throw her off balance. Still, the conductor seemed a bit non-chalant in his attitude.

She got it wrong - the train was departing so she should have made two short duration screams! Her voice is almost high enough in pitch to sound like one of those European steam locomotive "peanut whistles".

The hammock sleeper could be in for a rude awakening if spotted by mischievous teenagers! I wonder if the train crew considered backing up the lead locomotive to the hammock and laying on the horn?

That conductor needs some training in helping old people. She could have broken her hip! He placed the step too far to the right, and didn’t suggest that all her stuff should be handed through the door first. Then he just stood there like a lump. When I’ve ridden on trains (including the Zephyr) there have always been friendly offers of help.

There is not much interaction from the Conductor. Getting on his radio, telling the engineer to hold tight while she's flat on her back..

Great video. I would have liked to see a little more interaction between the conductor and the lady who fell, but I am glad everyone seems to be OK.
